The Republicans think that they will lose if they do nothing on amnesty because the Democrats will demagogue them for it. If they think that's scary, think of what will happen if they DO pass amnesty.

Here's my scenario:

Anywhere from 11 to 30 million people get amnesty. ACORN, or whatever name they go by now, will immediately register those people as Democrats. And astonishingly, every new Democrat will have a burning desire to move into a Congressional District or a State with an incumbent Republican, or register to vote there by absentee ballot! Then, the day after the 2014 elections, Boehner and all the rest of the incumbent Republicans will be swept out of power and will standing there with their thumbs in their mouths wondering "Duh wha huppend?"

The Senate doesn't want any major changes to their bill. I say take their bill, and break it into as many committees and sub-committees as possible, and break it down to study groups who report to sub-committees, and work at the proverbial glacial pace. Then just stand back and watch as the Democrats squeal, and their peaceful amnesty amigos riot in the streets.

The push to destroy the American middle class, and to destroy democracy for the majority has not slowed for the last 20 years. Amnesty is such a huge opportunity for the left; they ache for it. It will be a truly historically catastrophic defeat for freedom.
