President Obamas nominee to become the next ambassador to Libya vowed Tuesday to keep up the hunt for those responsible for the September 2012 attacks that killed former Ambassador J. Christopher Stephens and three other Americans in the nations eastern city of Benghazi.
As the president has committed, the perpetrators must be brought to justice, Deborah K. Jones told senators during a confirmation hearing on Capitol Hill. If confirmed, I will work closely with the Libyan government to see that justice is realized.

What a stupid statement.
Like looking for a needle in a hay stack. What could be done if they were found—nothing.
We aren’t wanted there and they could care less about finding the people who killed Stephens.
Well thanks to the Navy Seals on the scene they won’t have to look for about 50 of them, they buried them.

Once again we send a woman in to be the ambassador to a country that has no respect for women. Now isn't the true lesson of multiculturalism that we are to respect the cultures of others? Exactly what message are we sending when we are so stone-deaf to the culture of the host nation? Is it an "in your face" message or is it a message of subservience?
Remember how well April Glaspie represented our interests in Iraq pre-Gulf War I?

The White House doesn't want to pursue this. They fear that if one of the surviving attackers is taken alive and reveals the motive behind the attack it may open up a new can of worms. I think the Iranians or Syrians may have contracted an Al Qaeda group to attack the Benghazi consulate in hopes of stopping the flow of Libyan arms to Syrian rebels via Turkey.
