I really have a strong feeling about Gowdy. He is smart, clever, and tough as nails. He would be a dynamic Speaker. Any ideas?

Blech! .... he doesn't cry at the drop of a hat, but he can be a whiny baby (recently whining about the press & how they are treating the Repubs) and he's a "chip off the old Boehner", in my opinion. He's currently shoe-polishing & butt-kissing to get a shot at the Speaker's position.

That’s true. But it’s still impressive. Picture Marco Rubio, previously Speaker of the Florida House, becoming majaority leader or president pro-tempore on his first day. Wouldn’t happen.
