This camouflage is so good that the enemy never saw our troops in Benghazi on 9/11.
Neither did the four dead Americans.

Unlike much foolish government waste I can see an actual advantage to having a wide selection of cammo uniforms. One or two choices just would not cover all possible needs.

Yes, but the last sentence in the article suggests that, given a choice, the brass will choose the wrong pattern to use.

Obviously.
But, USMC camo is good.
But, it has anchors and globes embedded in it.
If I were the boss, I would pick 6 patterns and have each service issue them.
From desesrt to arctic, forest to urban, and and whatever else they needed.

The swabbies and the water color camo utilities were an absolute riot when I first saw them. Did not know what the heck to think they were.
Almost as funny as every Tom, Dick, Harry, and cook in the Army getting a different color beret.
Shades of the liberals' "everyone gets a trophy" mentality, I suppose.
The feminizing of the military continues unabated......

The people who saw this uniform in a combat area would know [the wearers] were United States Marines, for whatever that might mean, said retired Marine Gen. James L. JonesIt reminds me of an old Dustin Hoffman story. A studio head once told him, "Kid, I've been in this business a long time, and you're never gonna make it. I can tell. I saw Tony Curtis in a scene, he was a delivery boy, maybe had two lines. And I saw a star."
Hoffman asked, "shouldn't you have seen a delivery boy?"
I would think the whole point is that you don't want the people who see that uniform to know the wearers are Marines. You want them to think the wearers are rocks and trees.

Here is my comment on all these cammo uni's (scroll across below to read)
Hey! You can see it. The damn cammo didn't work. We need a new pattern!
