Thank you cajungirl.
A lot of cities are very successful with good music and restaurants. These are also the dens of the leftards who, concentrated as they are, skew the demographics and voting patterns.
Take LA and San Francisco, and San Diego out of California (9 coastal counties) and It’s a pretty conservative state.
I stand by my earlier position: Austin (along with many other cities) needs an ideological cleansing. These places are cancerous.
I’ll fore go music and neat eateries in order to try to save what is left of this country.
But if the “concentration” was such that you agreed with them...you would not think they needed this “cleansing”...this makes no sense. There is nothing wrong with Austin. Stay weird Austin. We love you just the way you are...from...San Antonio.
“cancerous”....really? You meant to use that adjective? Nonsense.
xlstcav.....have you been to Austin, or do you live there or nearby?
There are great churches in Austin and they influence much around them......there are loving, conservative folks in Austin and they contribute to much that is good.
The high tech industry has found its way to Austin and many have found jobs because of it.-——It’s a thriving, beautiful city and you shouldn’t dismiss it just because some liberals are more vocal or audacious.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO YOU DALLAS SUN!!!!....HUGS!
Guenevere, you are so right about the churches in Austin. I have attended two of them with my Aunt. It is itself a beautiful city....and hugs back to you. Always.
The same kind of folks you condemn in Austin seem to be infiltrating the lovely city of Denver and environs ......and I find that particularly sad.......That whole area is just breathtakingly beautiful!.......and the drive up I-70 and through the mountains is amazing.
Colorado....esp the Denver area was one of my favorite 'go to' places....even Boulder.
But lately they have fallen down that scary rabbit hole with their crazy marijuana laws.
However, just like Austin, I know personally there are some great and powerful churches in the Denver area and super conservative folks who are surely fighting against this foolishness.
‘fwiw xlstcav.....You might want to examine your own state .....as I see you’re flying a Colorado flag.’
I couldn’t expect you to have read some of my previous posts in which I have also called for an ideological cleansing of Denver-Boulder-Ft. Collins. The same cancer is metastasizing in all of the major urban areas in each state that has them.
We’re talking about an urban population that consumes more than it pays. There is usually a huge university complex that employs overwhelmingly leftist staff that then indoctrinates a convergence of students from all over the country. These punks then vote overwhelmingly leftist. In these conurbations there is usually an concentration of ‘civil servants’ that administer to the client’s-of-states needs. They vote for the hand that feeds them. This will increasingly sway elections towards the statists.
Besides, we’re looking to pull up stakes.
But, make no mistake, a few good churches, and their brethren, do not make a viable culture and society. Look at the moral decay around you and tell me that Austin and Denver/Boulder are such great places.
I may suggest that you are suffering from normalcy bias.
Kolorado, like Kalifornia, is fukt.
I apologize.
I'm simply appreciative of Austin's good points as I have family there and they are not liberals :)
...Colorado has to be one of the most beautiful states in the union.
