While political pundits and media analysts who live in an alternative universe (also known as the left-wing) scream conspiracy theory from the rooftops, we are witnessing an historic event playing out in the form of the Benghazi hearings. Reminiscent of Hillary Clinton's infamous accusations of a "vast right-wing conspiracy" when the House impeached her husband, everyone from Al Sharpton to Debbie Wasserman Schultz is demonizing the House Oversight Committee for staging a "witch hunt" in order to understand what happened the night that four American citizens were murdered by al Qaeda-affiliated terrorists in Libya. But despite Obama and Clinton's combined political savvy (coupled with a complicit and disinterested mainstream media), a Shakespearean tragedy that will make Watergate look like child's play may very well be unfolding.

It is bad enough that Obama trotted out his good little foot soldiers Carney and Rice to look the American people in the eye and lie. It is disgusting that the Secretary of State looked the victims' family members in the eye knowing full well she was not telling the truth while ensuring that an innocent individual would be sent to prison as the administration's scapegoat. But the President of the United States who was entrusted with protecting the American people blatantly lied to the them as well.

How do these people sleep at night?

The Obomba crowd like to “shape a narrative” to cover their *****.... much like their dumb attempt to blame Benghazi on an Internet video. Now it looks like the Obombas are attempting to convince us that the Tsarnaev’s "acted alone"......(waiting w/ bated breath for Susan Rice on the Sunday talk circuit---cackle)

The Obombas would have us believe that Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev thought it all up by themselves while collecting and cashing a blitz of government checks, buying pressure cookers and fireworks----that the bros are “self-radicalized terrorists"....

Remember that three friends of jihadist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were arrested for helping to coverup the jihad bombings (amazing that "innocent" youngsters knew to grab vaseline, knowing it was a bomb component). The arrests followed assurances from numerous govt officials that the Tsarnaev brothers "acted alone".......

I have a slight disagreement: In spite of his inability (so far) to push through disastrous amendments, he’s the #1 destroyer to ever hold the presidency. Wison was really bad, but he’s already a distant second......

It's true, this incident should be the end for them. Unfortunately, the MSM will circle the wagons and protect their darlings.

That's the fundamental difference. With Nixon, the MSM hated him and only needed an incident to focus on, and they went into 24/7 attack mode.

With Obama, the MSM is engaged in active protection mode. They will not cover Bengazi in any way which would bring down Obama. Also, Obama will not resign in order to protect his party, and the Dems will not go for impeachment, regardless of charges or evidence.

Going on recent history you would seem to be right, but I’m not yet convinced it will disappear down the memory hole this time. As I type Drudge has a red link to an ABC story about the talking points being changed 12 times, scrubbing all terror references. I’m not counting on it, but there are signs at least some media sharks smell blood in the water.

The main thing is to keep bringing this issue up. I’ll bet a very large percentage of not quite insane Dems are looking with horror at Clinton and Obama’s outright incompetence. That doesn’t mean they’ll won’t help the two scoundrels, but hopefully many average Dems will see the light and at least keep Hillary out of the White House in 2016.

My heart tells me what you said should be wrong, but I fear you've nailed it. I still think it would be cowardice not to continue to try to expose this bunch. We have to go for it in spite of the reality you just described.

During Watergate the media obsessed over getting Nixon to fall. There was no internet or smartphone, so it was TV, radio and newspapers. They got their way.

They will not do it for a democrat. They will go only so far and then retreat, so as to not have their worshipped idol fall.

I have decided to be the annoying person on Facebook that seems to harp on one thing. Whenever I find an interesting article on Benghazi, I share it. Also repeating “ At least with Watergate NOBODY DIED!” With every post. Hit the low info voters where they live.
