absolutely

we as a nation have abandoned God in the most serious way

gay marriage, abortion, promoting adultery, sodomy, fornication, lying, stealing

Gosh, the list is a mile long

We have changed the truth of God for a lie

and our nation is ABSOLUTELY getting a spanking as a last resort to make us repent and return to Him in sackcloth and ashes!

Thank the Good Lord, a voice of reason!

So when 6,000 people were killed in the Galveston hurricane in 1900, what were we getting punished for?

Or was it just that we stupidly put a considerable-sized city on a sandbar without a seawall in a hurricane-prone area and ignored warnings about the storm from the Cubans?

The idea that any human being alive in the last 500 years would blame human or man-made disasters on some sort of divine punishment is silly. We have much better explanations for things, though they don't make people feel better the way that believing some deity did it does.

“The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.”

These words were first uttered by leaders in Israel and in response to a limited strike by Assyria on the lands of Zebulun and Naphtali – an attack the prophet makes clear is actually part of a limited judgment by God against apostasy. It wasn’t meant to destroy the nation, but to awaken it, according to most commentaries.”

—It wasn’t meant to destroy the nation, but to awaken it—

Isaiah 9:10—“The Harbinger”

No, this nation is not getting a spanking....God is simply allowing mans ‘desires’ to play out.

Obama would not have won had the majority not wanted him as President....Abortion would never have been made legal if the majority didn’t want it....etc. etc. etc.

Mankind turns from God and He simply lets him see what he really is without God....
