US Officials Claim Russia Withheld Important Text Messages From Boston Bomber
Breitbart ^ | 05/12/13 | Mary Chastain

United States officials claim Russian intelligence withheld valuable information about Boston Marathon bomber Tamerian Tsarnaev when the country reached out to the FBI.

Russia alerted the FBI about text messages between Tsarnaev, his mother, and a Russian relative. However, the officials did not release the details of the texts. The conversations imply Tsarnaev wanted to join militant groups Russia blames for attacjs in the Caucasus region.

There were reports after the April 15th bombing that Russia tried to warn the US about Tsarnaev, but officials said the information in these texts would have led to a more extensive examination of Tsarnaev. Russia did not share the texts until a week after the bombing.

After Russia warned the US in 2011 the FBI requested more information, but received none. When he returned to Russia he stayed at an apartment in the Dagestani capital Makhachkala. Local officials were responsible for the surveillance and they are not allowed to communicate with the FBI or CIA. If they need to talk to the US all requests must go through Moscow. While there he was in touch with radical groups and met with at least one Islamic fighter.

Don't blame Russia, they warned. They had no obligation to serve us the Tsarnaev brothers heads on a platter.

Are the Russians going to be blamed for letting them in and for letting them stay in the United States too?

If people are looking for someone to blame these people need go no further than the secret Muslims in the Obama advisory councils. This entire incident is just another one, from Ft. Hood to Twin Towers of Muslim intrusion/fifth column actions in this Nation. Until the people in this Nation stop receiving and recover from the pablum being distributed as moderate Muslims/Sharia Law these incidents will continue and probably in increasing numbers.

LOL, must be Jamie Gorelick is on the job.

If US credibility wasn't worth less than horse manure, I bight believe that CIA had infiltrated her into the Russian FSB.

Apparently for the US government to accuse a muslim of terrorism, they need more info then just having the Russians warn them, and more info then driving a car around Boston with Terrorista#1 front plates.

Perhaps the Russians should have told the FBI that the individual was seen blowing up toilets in the woods ?

.
No, the problem seems to be more serious than that — we have people who actually sympathize with the muzzies and are not trustworthy with protecting our national security.

Russia alerted the FBI about text messages between Tsarnaev, his mother, and a Russian relative. However, the officials did not release the details of the texts.

So the attack was the Russians fault because they did not do everything for the FBI/DHS? What the H*!! did the Feds expect, the Russian FSB to come over and arrest Tsarnaev?

Our "security" agency(s) dropped the ball and now it's the Russians fault? I don't think so... Our people didn't follow the lead the Russians so helpfully provided for them, let's face it, our people screwed up and are looking to spread the blame around.

Typical Washington bureaucratic CYA  BS.

Regards,
GtG

Did our agents screw up? Is it all incompetence? Early on, someone like Debka was saying that Speedbump and Flashbang were US agents that were turned by someone else and blew up in the faces of US intelligence.

Given the way this administration lies and shifts the blame to the innocent, this double-agent possibility sounds better and better the more the administration tries to blame the Ruskies.

Not that they were acting under US control when they planted the bombs, just that they were given protection and possibly help by the US to act against Russia, and then maybe they turned to Al Qaeda without the US agency that was running them being aware of it.

Just the fact that the Russian Security Service informed the FBI, should have been enough justification for a thorough investigation of Obamuslim Jihadist #1.
