The loss of a Chinook helicopter carrying members of Navy SEAL Team Six made yesterday the deadliest single day in the entire Afghan War for the U.S., The New York Times reports. Here are the three most pressing questions that need to be answered after this attack.
The loss of a helicopter carrying more than 20 U.S. special forces and as many as 8 other U.S. military service members is an unprecedented one in this war. The United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DevGru)—better known by its former name, Team 6-reportedly suffered the bulk of the casualties. The incident comes just months after DevGru's raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

The Associated Press is reporting that a rocket attack took down the Chinook (probably a MH-47) , quoting an unnamed source in Washington D.C., but this has yet to be confirmed officially. The Taliban, of course, has taken credit, saying it shot down the helo during a special forces raid on a home.

I watched the SEAL training TV show about Class 234. What a complete waste of human life and training.
There is the chance that they staged this so that Seal Team Six could go back under cover, but I don’t think Obama is that smart.
An extraordinary number of Seal Team Six members have died since the OBL mission.
Too many for it to be accepted as mere chance without some degree of skepticism.

You got that right, he isn't. Even if this was staged, these men died , so wouldn't that be a frightening thing that the regime would have men killed essentially for some kind of cover story? That sounds like something Stalin would do.
IMHO if the regime staged this,(and I shudder to think they are capable of doing this) it would be to appease the "muslim street" in the M.E. After all, how great a propaganda coup for terrorists if the men who took out bin Laden were struck down seemingly by the hand of allah.

What gets me is transporting the whole team in a Vietnam-era helicopter down flight corridor that is highly vulnerable to attack.
My question is was the Commander who authorized so many of our Special Operations troops to be airlifted into a “Hot LZ” in a Chinook relieved of his command? As far back as Vietnam, we learned to disperse our troops in multiple aircraft (UH-1’s in those days) that were fast moving and mobile. A Chinook is nothing more than a big fat target and should never be used to transport troops in a rescue mission or any other kind of activity where they are subject to enemy fire. To load 20+ Special Opns. troops plus 10-15 more U.S. and Afghan troops on a Chinook and send it into a “Hot LZ” is nothing less than criminal.
I think it’s important as another example of how the left is systematically dismantling the security of the country.

Why not just say it was the Navy Seals or just special forces? Why spell it out exactly who killed OBL?
The release of this specific information about which Seal Team conducted the raid sure did work out well for the enemey as they are now convinced they got their revenge.

I flew UH-1H Hueys in Vietnam & for a decade after that.
But Chinooks scare me with their five transmissions, the fifth being the `combining box’ that keeps the rotors synchronized & away from each other. If it fails & the rotors kiss, it’s all over.
That being the case, IMO the SEAL Team Chinook was brought down by an inside job involving our `noble’ Muslim allies.
So fed up with those people.

We need to expand the search. Zero is a puppet as are all presidents. Who is he a puppet for? Who is try to spread Islam as far and wide and as fast as possible?
