Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell called on President Barack Obama on Tuesday to make available for questioning everyone who knew about the Internal Revenue Service's targeting of conservative groups, and demanded "no more stonewalling."

With Congress preparing to hold hearings on the IRS's holding conservative groups to extra scrutiny, McConnell said he was "calling on the president to make available, completely and without restriction, everyone who can answer the questions we have as to what was going on at the IRS, who knew about it, and how high it went."

“He needs his conservative cred.”

He has a long way to go.

“He only wants to use it as a campaign issue.”

Sad, but true.

If being a purist means I want the people involved to go to jail instead of a campaign issue? Then I am a purist.

Careful! Many of the Democrats...sorry, “Conservatives” haunting FR lately have flatly said that purity is wrong. I have wasted uncounted hours trying to get them to explain why believing in principles and standing by them is wrong.

Best I have gotten is that only the principles they claim are OK at a given time are acceptable. AKA situational ethics. The ones espoused by Washington, Franklin, Adams etc are to be put aside in pursuit of the almighty ‘win’.

See my post history for details.

So don’t be surprised when this and like threads devolve into the GOP fanclub berating you for your bitterly clinging ways.
