Obama eyes Gov. Deval Patrick to replace Eric Holder at Justice
Chi Sun Times ^ | 5/16/13 | Michael Sneed

Posted on 05/16/2013 8:31:30 AM PDT by raccoonradio

Tipsville . . .

Sneed is told that Attorney General Eric “Fast and Furious” Holder’s days are numbered.

Sneed hears President Barack Obama, who is this/close to Holder, has set his sights on Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick as a possible replacement “when the heat dies down on the latest hot-button scandals to hit the U.S. Justice Department,” said a top White House source.

Last year, Holder became a hot button over a congressional probe of the sale of government guns to drug cartels.

This time it’s the double whammy of an IRS scandal and the U.S. Justice Department’s seizure of Associated Press reporters’ phone records — which has caused a media uproar.

“The president will wait until the heat dies down — and a little time has passed beyond that — before he does anything to Holder because Holder is a close pal, and that’s a big deal in the White House,” said a top Dem source. “Holder is also a close buddy of Obama’s senior adviser Valerie Jarrett,” the source said. “Obama knows a change has to be made, but he wants Holder to leave with his reputation intact.”

◆ Cool under fire: Patrick, who hails from Chicago and will not run again for governor next year, got high marks for the way he handled the Boston Marathon bombing and its aftermath.

◆ Translation: ”The president will chose either Patrick, who has been a great governor, or Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano, although Patrick is in the lead,” the source added. “Obama would have to replace Napolitano, but Patrick would be available.”

Don’t quit your day job just yet, Deval.

Unless Obama agrees to special prosecutors on all 3 of these scandals I expect that whomever he nominates is going to be filibustered from now till the cows come home.

The “source” says he’s a great governor. Yeah great at
raising taxes, coddling illegals, etc.

Patrick was elected after a 16 yr run of RINO governors—
Bill Weld, Paul Cellucci, Jane Swift, Mitt Romney (who only served one term and took no salary). In the past the Commonwealth had other GOP govs like John Volpe and Frank
Sargent...but we also had Mike Dukakis. (Then there was Ed King, a Dem but fiscal conservative IIRC and I think he even
changed over to GOP later)

Patrick prefers pedophiles in the serious jobs closest to him.

Obama is stupid enough to bring this guy into DOJ.

Maybe but I think Whitey’s bro is nearly 80—think he was born in ‘34, or was in ‘32...let me check:

...yup ‘34, as I suspected. So he would be 80 next year, no spring chicken. Has a nice pension from the Commiewealth too.

Seems logical for the American Hater BenGhazi Hussein Obama.

Deval Patrick sought and brought
eloquent rapists to Massachusetts.

He can now seek out the finest and strongest terrorists
to be armed and shepherded
(and if necessary protected)
to America NATIONWIDE.

I expect that whomever he nominates is going to be filibustered from now till the cows come home.

Which in Obama Land is perfect. You get to play the race card on why the filibuster is in play and you get that nominee's department to run unfettered while with out leadership.

I was at Logan Airport a few months ago. A recorded greeting with Patrick’s voice is enabled when people step on the moving walkway. It is grating to say the least. But in front of me were two black guys, one not knowing about Patrick and so he made a comment. The other person mentioned Patrick’s race and the first person said “He’s a brother? No brother talks like that.”

Patrick shut down the public transit system AND told people not to drive not just in the wake of the bombings, but also during the blizzard in Feb. (oh great, I’m told if I drive I could face a $1000 fine and/or a year in jail, and public transit is closed—how the hell do I get home from work?)

Patrick is another in a long line of the beige bolsheviks that David Axelrod specializes in getting into power so that he and his Chicago gangster-marxists can control. He’s Obama v0.9 - the trial run.

Globe 2006:

>>In a decision that ends a three-year dispute between Bulger and top Massachusetts politicians and gives him a pension of about $196,000 a year, the Supreme Judicial Court said that Bulger correctly included the $2,419 housing allowance as income when he applied for a pension after more than four decades of work for the state.

The dullard-in-chiefs is such a constitutional scholar that he believes this would make Justice blind again.
