FBI charged man with murder after, they say, he tricked girlfriend into taking abortion pill

TAMPA BAY - Federal authorities arrested a local doctor's son, who they say tricked his pregnant girlfriend into taking an abortion pill, killing their unborn child.

John Andrew Weldon, 28, is now facing first-degree murder and interfering with interstate commerce charges.

According to a federal arrest affidavit, Weldon swapped out his girlfriend's antibiotics with abortion pills, specifically Cytotec.

"I was never going to do anything but go full term with it, and he didn't want me to," explained Remee Lee, 26, Weldon's now ex-girlfriend.

On Easter Sunday, Lee went to an area hospital complaining of severe cramping and excessive vaginal bleeding. Doctors told Lee her unborn baby no longer had a heartbeat.

Lee also brought along a bottle of Amoxycillin, an antibiotic. But when doctors examined the pills, they told her they were abortion pills.

"He came to my house with the pills, his weapon of choice," Lee recalled.

Lee said when she learned she was pregnant, Weldon took her to see his father, who is an obstetrician in Lutz. A sonogram and blood test confirmed Lee was six-weeks pregnant.

The next day, Weldon called his girlfriend with bad news. Her blood test apparently showed she had a bacterial infection and she would need to take Amoxicillin to clear it up.

On Good Friday, Lee said Weldon showed up at her Tampa home with a care package that included the bottle of antibiotics. The label said the pills were A moxycillin .

"He told me to keep taking them. I was supposed to take three a day for days," she recalled of Weldon's instructions.

There would appear to be a number of equal protection issues here.

“That is head spinning logic.
It is legal for the mother to murder the baby — because it must be a ‘non-person’ lump of tissue. If the (scum) boyfriend induces the murder - it is recognized that the baby really is a person...”

“But a baby is a baby, and it doesn’t deserve to get murdered. Especially on Easter.”. . . by its own father.

It won’t get that far. The murder charge is probably designed to get the guy to quickly plead to a lesser charge like assault.

There’s no way that a murder conviction would survive an appeal. 14th Amendment and all that ...

Double standard. The courts cannot uphold this. He didn’t want to be punished with a baby.

Can’t say it is “life” only based on “mother’s wishes”. Either it IS or it ISN’T.

Sure, it is murder. However, to charge this man with murder, while letting the woman who goes to Planned Parenthood for an abortion walk free, is a violation of the equal protection clause.

Even worse, this is not just a single incident of discrimination, but a policy enshrined in the laws themselves. That makes it tyrannical.

By liberal “logic” if the fetus is not a person, how can this be murder? By their “logic” how is this any different than killing a tapeworm?

Idiots, all.

How can we allow murder to be defined by WHO commits the act?

I think some smart lawyer can make a case under "equal protection".

The left has been indoctrinated to the point that they are entirely comfortable with contradiction.

Unfortunately, once you eschew the law of non-contradiction, it’s impossible to actually KNOW anything.

Only if you don't reject the idea of objective truth. Leftists do reject the concept. Truth for you, truth for me, whatever you want to believe is OK. (But, they really can't live that way, it's just a justification to do as they please.)

John Andrew Weldon, 28, is now facing first-degree murder and interfering with interstate commerce charges.

I think it might have to do with how he obtained the pills and the unlawful fraudulent use and relabeling them with antibiotic label.

My guess is they don't want this to become a popular activity as it will cause all kinds of grief for the manufacturer and the abortion lobby for keeping them over the counter.

I call this "The Velveteen Rabbit" theory on the value of human life.

Liberals believe that an unborn baby only becomes real if it is loved. Then, and only then, is killing it considered murder.

They're actually OK with the idea that one human can arbitrarily confer the right to exist on another.

They’d better be careful in deciding this is murder.

There are going to be a lot of 14 year old schoolboys charged with murder for doping their girlfriends’ drinks daily in effort to keep them from becoming pregnant as they fool around.

Once upon a time that was “statutory rape” but the sex positive proponents said that it was wrong to charge them with “rape”. Now they will face murder charges. Such an improvement...

Notice that the gub’mint is unwilling to tally the dead baby from Nadil Hasan’s murder rampage at Ft. Hood. So apparently if a muslim does the fetus killing, it doesn’t count as murder either.

This will happen over and over again tens of thousands of times.

With 3,000 abortions a day, it'll happen more than just 10s of thousands of times in a year.
