There were 21 Filippino peacekeepers caught and released a few weeks ago. Last week eight more were captured and four are still being held (last I saw). The Philippine government is considering pulling all 800 of its troops out of the Golan Heights. I'm not sure which country would be willing to send in replacements.

Naturally, the article’s writer cannot be bothered to include a minor detail such as WHO ABDUCTED the guy? Was it Amish rebels? Swedish community organizers? Pygmy Grandmothers?

If no one from the UN does then Israel WILL. Count on it.

A permenant make-work job for third world militaries paid for by your taxes. This one's been going on for 67 years so far.

Nah, he was obducted by Grey space aliens who experimented on him for four or five hours, so this will be covered up.

IOW, they’re not peacekeepers, because clearly they’re not keeping the peace. Removal of the UN monitors from the Sinai was Nasser’s first move building up to the 1967 war. That one lasted six days because Israel took the “best defense is a good offense” approach. Thanks Pan_Yan.
