Imagine. 97% of “climatologists” who live off of government grants are saying the manmade climate change is real and that the government should continue to support research to prove it.

Note this intriguing point at the bottom of the original article :
“
Its worth noting that 97 percent of scientists contacted did not feel they had taken a position endorsing the primacy of anthropogenic climate change in their respective papers”
So the authors of the climate articles did not agree with the surveyed assessments.

Even if the climate is changing (and it always is), and even if humans are a contributing factor (and we likely are), this “consensus” doesn’t mean jack because none of them know how significant the human feedback term is (likely not so much) or the practical, on-the-ground effect of the climate change (likely not anywhere near as devastating as the alarmists would have you believe).

A candidate for a Ph.D. in chemistry joked (?) to me that "you want to research something that's cheap to do, so even if you don't have a big grant, you can make more money."
One of my favorite Milton Friedman quotes: "When you pay for research, you get research. When you pay for results, you get results."

Oh, Jumping Jesus on a freakin pogo stick.
I just remember about the “population time bomb”. We are all suppose to be dead now.
I remember “GLOBAL COOLING” and we are all suppose to be dead now.

An overwhelming 97 percent of climatologists endorse the idea of human-caused global warming. The only time you get a 97 percent endorsement is when you are talking about votes for Joe Stalin or Saddam Hussein.
Doesn't happen without coercion or group-think.

Climate change is a phenomenon that arrises from the diffusion of money molecules to regions of low ethical concentration and a high affinity for grants.

All the way up to the early 1600's, scientists AND religious groups KNEW that the Earth was the center of our solar system.
How did that work out for them?!?! Hell, Galileo was tried by the inquisition, found guilty of heresy and spent the end of his life under house arrest for claiming that the sun was the center of our solar system. That is kinda like the PC police of today, who go after anyone who doesn't agree with their prescribed notions!

the clearest day you'll possibly see there [China] is far worse than the worst day you'll see in LA or London. One-third of the pollution over Los Angeles on any given day came from China or India.
