Well let’s see. After supervising IRS personnel who ask taxpayers the contents of their prayers and the books they read, is given a $100,000+ bonus and a promotion to supervise the IRS handling of Obamacare will now get to terrorize the 50% of Americans that do not pay income taxes. Yippee.

They believe in prayers?

They think they're God.

God help us! I don’t want to believe this. But I think we may be approaching civil conflict. We are so badly divided now. And the forces that hate Christianity and freedom have become so aggressive, so intolerant. Some Christians will turn the other cheek. Some will renounce their faith rather than face what seems a long fight of doubtful outcome. But others will certainly resist. Pray for domestic peace. We had such a wonderful country!

The man said he couldn't address it without knowing the context. After much thought I realized what this might be about ~ whether or not that group was actually a group, or just a single individual.

Before you get authorization to mail at a non profit rate, or receive exemption from federal income tax, you must, first of all, be a group.

Believe it or not there are individuals who make masterful efforts to prove that they are really groups. If they succeed, they'll donate all their income to their one man church, let the church take care of them, and they will evade taxation.

One such individual was called The Reverend Ewing. He single handedly tied up IRS, USPS, HUD and tax authorities in a number of different states. There was no church at all in his life, but he said there was and he really knew the rules, and apparently could acquit himself well in state and federal courts.

A friend of mine had been tending the 'evidence' provided by the Reverend Union for at least 10 years ~ maybe 15. It took up space and since it was still a live case we could just send it off to a federal records center.

The case languished for years. Then, finally the big boss died, my friend retired, and we took the 'evidence', put it in boxes, and declared it 'lost'. End of that case. He never did get to use nonprofit mailing privileges though. That's because he could never prove he was a group. He tried. I know that at one point my friend had actually asked him to provide the content of prayers given at services, and asked if he could come visit the church some day to see him preach.

The bureaucrats are not crazy to distrust some members of the public!

If we cherish our young people the way Anne Frank’s parents cherished her, we will do something to stop the Obama Administration in its tracks.

Has not the line in the sand been crossed? If not, then I seriously doubt that there is any line.

It's sort of like the limbo. Keep lowering the bar and lowering the bar till we're crawling in the dirt.

Actually, they get fired. These are what are called 'confidential positions' ~ and although that's the lowest security classification, you gots' ta' have it, and if you don't they dump you.

That happens all the time ~ just the gub'mnt doesn't tell you about it.

I’ve said it so many times!

Shut down the IRS completely. Fire everyone! Pull out the phone and internet lines. Sell, lease or board up all buildings being used by this evil, totalitarian organization.

Kill the central socialist government by eliminating the present tax system. No more corporate income taxes, no subsidies, no gimmies of any kind and a singular rate for all income levels: 8% or less would do nicely.

How about a federal government that defends America?

And Americans, fire this evil, lop-eared, anti-American phony president and his court jester.

America is dying by degrees. Stop the madness while we still have a nation.

You know...When I see a picture like that of a person who I generally have a mild dislike of, pointing a finger, maybe at someone, say like me...

It’s kinda funny...Sad for him, funny for me...

Are we that stupid? The government wants us to think that a few rogues were able to use the IRS, FBI, Homeland Security etc etc to attack hundreds of their critics for more than 2 years and that Obama had nothing to do with it. Is anyone really that stupid?

As you know GeronL, government is very large and very complex. The leider doesn't just stand up and say 'I want it' and he gets it. Tradition has it that IKE felt utterly frustrated dealing with the US government as President. Stuff didn't just happen as he'd had it when he was Supreme Allied Commander.

What we have here is a large office with vast correspondence with people of all kinds all over the nation. I've worked in two such offices for many years and studied the phenomenon even longer. Health insurance and auto insurance providers run similar operations.

The process in question STARTS AT THE BOTTOM as a way of more effectively and efficiently processing the correspondence and delivering answers. Top management rarely gets involved in these things but when they do they'll always have an ulterior and probably secret motive.

Here the separation had been going on before management decided it was good and began giving each other awards for the idea. This extended all the way to the President himself signing off on $103,000 in bonuses to the top boss, and then, once the election was over she got a big promotion to head up the ObamaKKKare harrassment division!

This sort of thing happens in the private sector as well. Modern correspondence control systems simply make it worse.

But you know that I am sure.
