Excellent post, and it puts in perspective why Bush was supported...why I supported him in most of his decisions.
It also again supports Bush’s unwillingness...total negligence...in defending his own decisions and actions.

I agree. What he called “compassionate conservatism” was just big government intrusion. If I were Von Mises I would have called him an interventionist (not quite a socialist).
