Brit Hume: I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rubio vote against final immigration bill
Daily Caller ^ | May 17, 2013 | Jeff Poor

Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume warned Friday that the “Gang of Eight” efforts to pass immigration reform could be in trouble not only in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, but also in the Democratic-controlled Senate as well.

Hume said by rejecting all efforts to beef up border enforcement, the bill was being condemned to “a death sentence.”

“I think the bill is in trouble,” he said on Laura Ingraham’s radio program, “And it would in trouble whether they had a gang in the House or not, and will continue to be in trouble unless or until the enforcement portion of this is stiffened to the point where people look at this and say, ‘OK, if we go for this we can really count on the border being properly monitored and indeed sealed if necessary.’ Until that happens, I don’t think the bill can pass the House of Representatives, perhaps not even the Senate.”

If Marco Rubio is to save any face with the conservative base, he has to vote against this bill, IMO

Why not, he seems to flip-flop with ease.

I’m a Conservative. Well, no I’m not a Conservative. Well maybe tomorrow I’ll be one again. I’m so dizzy...

Yes, we know.

I would be surprised to see myself vote against Rubio when he’s up for re-election.

I wouldn’t be surprised either but it won’t wash the stink off.

I’m more worried that at this very minute, Boehner is quietly selling us out on amnesty. He sure isn’t doing anything about IRS, or Benghazi.

He is all over the radio promoting this ridiculous bill, calling it the toughest border protection bill ever. Everything he says in the ad is a lie, how would voting against it save any face?

There was never any intent to beef up border security and to do anything about the illegals who don’t want to or can’t become citizens.

Rubio has been trying to play the same game that Reagan got beat at.

“I will vote for amnesty ONCE provided we seal the border”.
The border was never sealed.

His flirting with that disaster makes us all uneasy.
We got screwed once on good will, and the flood gates have been open ever since.

Rubio needs to be opposed by a conservative in the primary. I don’t see anybody with the clout on the horizon. Allen West, maybe?

Rubio is a Fraud. He may vote against it only if he knows that the bill will pass. Rubio desperately wants this bill to pass.

He knows this bill will destroy our Republic.

The fraud who is Rubio may vote against this bill trying to fool Conservatives into believing he saw the light.

The only way to enforce the border is to work with the border states.

Washington and the dems will not allow us to control our own backyards.

No matter what the promise about enforcement there is no way to hold them to their word.

Enforcement MUST come first and be effective!

He must have a paid membership to the Ben Tmy Huang house of ill repute down the street. You never hear anything out of him, unless he’s all teary at the thought of going back there in a few minutes.
