Even in the conservative press, it has become received wisdom that President Obama was AWOL on the night of September 11, after first being informed by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, in the late afternoon, that the State Department facility in Benghazi was under attack. You hear it again and again: While Americans were under attack, the commander-in-chief checked out, leaving subordinates to deal with the crisis while he got his beauty sleep in preparation for a fundraising campaign trip to Vegas.
That is not true . . . and the truth, as we’ve come to expect with Obama, is almost surely worse. There is good reason to believe that while Americans were still fighting for their lives in Benghazi, while no military efforts were being made to rescue them, and while those desperately trying to rescue them were being told to stand down, the president was busy shaping the “blame the video” narrative to which his administration clung in the aftermath.
We have heard almost nothing about what Obama was doing that night. Back in February, though, CNS News did manage to pry one grudging disclosure out of White House mendacity mogul Jay Carney: “At about 10 p.m., the president called Secretary Clinton to get an update on the situation.”

A. Managing the rescue effort and possible military response.
B. Managing his campaign.
I choose B. Instinctively, Obama would focus his attention on dealing with the political fallout from the Benghazi attack and the death of the Ambassador. There is zero evidence that he was hands-on in the management of any possible military response. It's not his thing.
I will bet dollars to donuts that he was on the phone with Axelrod and huddling with Valerie Jarrett for most of those 5 hours. Out of that came the fiction of the video as the cause of a demonstration that got out of control.

Mr. President......the other day you were worried about a few raindrops, so a Marine protected your precious head.......I then heard you say to the PRESS....YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. Those chilling words made me think about that night in Benghazi.....what it was like for them, desperately trying to survive, fire, missiles, shrapnel, aiming down on them, they were begging for help and to protect your precious political ass......they heard you say....YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. Seems to be a theme for you.

I have had so much of enough of people blaming Romney. He was supposed to fix this on CBs News? The electorate doesn’t care They sure don’t care when the Congress doesn’t care.

I think this commercial was aired not to apologize to the muslims but to introduce the YouTube video to the muslim world in hopes of further violence to further justify the crappy video as the culprit. After all, no one had even heard of the video until then.

Your recollection seems to be spot on. My only point in this is that Obama never claimed he spoke to Hitlery at all. Thus another lie. I do believe the story evolves as the truth is found out.
