KMOV anchorman Larry Conners has been advised by KMOVs parent company Belo Corp. to not make statements, post on Facebook, or participate in interviews concerning a recent controversy over Facebook comments he made about the Internal Revenue Service.
Conners has hired St. Louis attorney Merle Silverstein. Silverstein issued a letter to media outlets claiming that the corporate order is the only reason for his silence.
Conners wrote Monday night that shortly after he interviewed President Obama and his wife in April of 2012, the IRS started hammering him.

Freedom to health care of your choice? Government must approve.

There is REAL fear in the media today. These people in Washington are THUGS! They are capable of anything up to and including murder.
Wonder how Valarie Jarrett’s Saturday morning is going? She is likely in meetings at the WH with lawyers and “detectives” trying to figure how to keep the IRS thing down to “a few rogue agents in Cincinnati”. Good luck Ms Jarrett...hope you don’t have to get too many people killed.
This could be like Dallas after the JFK assassination...folks in the wrong place at the wrong time ended up dead.
Any issue he has with the IRS are personal issues. They have nothing to do with our television station KMOV or him as a journalist, Mike Valentine, vice president for content at Belo, told the website BuzzFeed earlier this week. As a news anchor, he owes a duty to our viewers to report in an unbiased manner. His Facebook post and his Twitter posts, as a result, were inappropriate. And we dont condone personal posts that jeopardize the journalistic nature of our business. Its really that simple.
We know exactly what the *jounOlistic nature* of their business is. And, the truth doesn't fit in.
IOW as a news anchor he can only express his opinions if they are in agreement with the current administration.
B.S. If this happened to a reporter under a GOP administration...the local station would he interviewing him...and holding him up as a hero who stood up to conservative persecution. He’d have his own, new 1/2hour weekly news show.
The double-standard in the MSM is as wide as the Grand Canyon.
Part of me hopes these prestitutes wake up and get mad; but I realize they are in so deep, they would rather "die for the cause". The funny thing is, they will likely get their wish. As the government grows and grows and realizes the press won't call them on anything; the government will, if has not already, come the realization it can do what it wants, when it wants, to whoever it wants. The first to go will be the press; much like the Trotskyites were exterminated by the more hard-core Communists in Russia.
