Full Spin Mode on IRS, Benghazi, AP Scandals as WH Advisor Does 'Full Ginsburg'
Breitbart ^ | 5/19/13 | Joel B. Pollak

Posted on 05/19/2013 8:48:46 AM PDT by Nachum

Senior White House advisor Dan Pfeiffer is set to perform the 'full Ginsburg' on Sunday, appearing on all five major Sunday morning news shows in the latest sign that the Obama administration is determined to fight for control of the news cycle following an explosion of major scandals in the past several days.

Pfeiffer will appear on CNN's State of the Union, ABC's This Week, CBS's Face the Nation, NBC's Meet the Press, and Fox News' Fox News Sunday.

The White House began suffering unusual setbacks in the media following the revelation that its edits to "talking points" on the Benghazi terror attack were more extensive and substantial than first admitted, and that it sought to minimize references to terrorism while pushing a false story that the attack was a "protest" against a YouTube video. On May 10, the IRS revealed--and apologized for--targeting conservative groups, triggering both criminal and congressional investigations. And on May 13, the Associated Press protested against a Department of Justice seizure of journalists' telephone records.

Those major scandals created (or, for conservatives, reinforced) an image of an administration willing to abuse its power to manipulate the media, punish its political opponents and discourage whistleblowers. The White House was slow and ineffective in its initial responses.

White House spokesperson Jay Carney gave journalists explanations about the Benghazi emails that were subsequently shown to be false; President Obama did not respond to the IRS scandal until asked a question by a reporter three days later; and the administration irked reporters by defending the AP subpoenas on national security grounds.

Impeach Obama.

How dare they conceal the truth about what the president did that resulted in a rescue stand down order and the deaths of 4 abandoned Americans.

Obama and his minions will be compelled by Congress to reveal the truth, or one by one, or the minions will be occupying a cell in the nearest federal pen, until they sing.

IMHO impeachment is too good for the POS.

It's gotta be the running out the clock strategy, long clock, but it seems to work.

I guess the regime figures attention spans will wane and Benghazi will one day be out of the news and just a bad memory for them. Either that or its all about amnesty and they just want that to get it passed in the Senate and then hold on for the House. Once that's in their bag of tricks the entire ball game is over for us.

In the eyes of this administration all of this is “irrelevant”.

This is fantasy. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Jailtime for Contempt of Congress does strange things to the bean pushers,, and it WILL come to that...or there will be widespread civil disobedience. I can think of at least 7 STRONG constitutional law arguments as to why I should not pay my taxes or have anything to do with the IRS or Obamacare filings.

That will be the cost of denying Congress, and what court system will be able to handle ALL of the presumptive prosecutions?

Impeachment time is looming as we speak, or soon we will have no government, or even a way to fund it.

Well, I am all for that. I have suggested that these criminals openly lying to congress be jailed for contempt of congress until they remember or decide that they will talk.

Sadly, this congress is full of a bunch of nutless wonders.

In fact, I will go as far as to call them complicit in all of this seeing as how they refuse to do anything of substance in response to it.

Tough questions make for great tv I suppose, but in the end, they mean nothing.

Personally, I am for no longer having a federal government at all. People have proven themselves untrustworthy to wield power. I am not for trying to find a way to make it work anymore. I am for ending all of it.

Watched Fox as Pfeiffer arrogantly said “what difference does it make where nobama was” and almost immediately you could see it on his face that such a statement was too close to hitlery’s rant “What difference does it make” and this is something that might come back to bite them.

This Pfeiffer is the worst of the worst with the blatant lying. The libs figure if they are caught in a big lie, they will be excused and pay no price. Nobama and his lie brigade still will suffer from their reach exceeding their grasp.

Dan the man must have learned the word irrelevant today because he sez that IRS law and where his boss was on 911 are irrelevant.

We can start a new WH presser dinking game around that and w couple others for this last week.

Saul Alinsky’s Rule #5:

“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”

These talk show hosts need to start laughing at these people who say Bozo doesn’t know anything. The standard comeback ought to be, “Oh, so you’re admitting that Obama is incompetent? Or is he just lazy?” If enough people laugh at them and ridicule them, they might start to realize that we aren’t buying their fabrications.

People are already equating Jay Carney with Sgt. Schultz (per a recent web search). The left needs to have Alinsky used against them.

I disagree. There’s a mighty fine suit sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office. It’s just empty.

Are we that stupid? The government wants us to think that a few rogues were able to use the IRS, FBI, Homeland Security etc etc to attack hundreds of their critics for more than 2 years and that Obama had nothing to do with it. Is anyone really that stupid?

The Full Ginsburg refers to when Monica Lewinsky's lawyer William Ginsburg appeared on all five Sunday shows on the same day.

The IRS’s admission last Friday that it had singled out tea party and other groups for extra audits and delays has raised concerns that President Barack Obama’s administration quietly attempted to stymy opponents through intimidation. But many prominent Democrats — including Montana Sen. Max Baucus, Americans United for the Separation of Church and State and the New York Times editorial board — had been publicly calling for tighter restrictions on 501(c)(4) groups affiliated with the tea party and conservatives.

Last year, Schumer, along with Democratic Sens. Michael Bennet, Sheldon Whitehouse, Jeff Merkley, Tom Udall, Jeanne Shaheen and Al Franken, penned a letter calling on the agency to cap the amount of the political spending by groups masquerading as “social welfare organizations.”

Media Matters’ targets revealed: business, wealth, Christianity

When David Brock applied for tax-exempt status for Media Matters for America, he told the IRS exactly who his group would be fighting against: businesses, wealthy Americans and conservative Christians.

“Media Matters for America (MMA) believes that news reporting and analysis by the American media, with its eye on profit margin and preservation of the status quo, has become biased,” read the group’s application, obtained by The Daily Caller, “It is common for news and commentary by the press to present viewpoints that tend to overly promote corporate interests, the rights of the wealthy, and a conservative, Christian-influenced ideology.”

Treasury Department documents — 88 pages that The Daily Caller obtained through a public records request to the IRS — reveal for the first time how the organization described its mission while applying for coveted 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

In 2000, he (Dan Pfeiffer) was a spokesperson for Vice President Al Gore. He has since worked for Senators Tim Johnson, Tom Daschle, and Evan Bayh, and was communications director for the Obama campaign. Pfeiffer was formerly a spokesman for Senator Evan Bayh.

On July 16, 2006, Pfeiffer married Sarah Feinberg, a senior adviser and spokeswoman for Obama’s former Chief of Staff, and current Mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel. In 2011 Pfeiffer and Feinberg separated.

Tax-Exempt Media Matters Wasn’t Investigated by the IRS
May 16, 2013
By Sara Noble

Why didn’t the IRS investigate Media Matters and their questionable tax-exempt status? Most people have heard about the War on Fox, but not everyone knows that taxpayers are helping to subsidize it thanks to Media Matters’ tax exempt status.

Media Matters received this status because their stated objective was to counter alleged media bias and to “identify occurrences of excessive bias in the American media, educate the public as to their existence, and to work with members of the media to reduce them.” They interpret that as the right to attack Conservatives, especially FoxNews. Taxpayer subsidy of War on Fox

In March 2011, Media Matters declared open war on Fox.  The war includes undermining, sabotaging and collecting embarrassing data on top and mid-level executives at NewsCorp. Politico reported that the attacks would be limited to Fox, NewsCorp and a few conservative sites.

David Brock, founder of Media Matters, is known to have close ties with the White House. An investigation by the Daily Caller revealed that statements which appeared in emails from Media Matters turned up verbatim in Obama’s speeches immediately after.  The Justice Department also appears to have used their talking points in the Fast & Furious investigation.

According to the Daily Caller, Obama meets regularly with the Media Matters group to feed his slanted “information” to news outlets which include “respected” journalists. The plan is to infiltrate, disrupt, and destroy the “enemy” via private detectives.

Media Matters has allegedly fed inaccurate stories to the mainstream media – they throw stories out and whatever sticks, sticks, with little regard for the person they are destroying!  Daily Caller

Their list of donors shows that Soros-funded groups and other far-leftists are on the list. Penny Pitzger, Obama’s nominee for Commerce Secretary, is one of them.

Read the opinion of the liberal Alan Dershowitz about Media Matters and Center for American Progress (they provide Obama’s blueprints for most of what he does).  Dershowitz describes them as Stalinesque -

“Media Matters and Center for American Progress are two extremely left-bigoted groups that are so virulently anti-Israel and anti-supporters of Israel that they’ve gone over the line from anti-Zionism to anti-Semitism,” Dershowitz said. ”They now use the term ‘Israel firsters,’ the way anti-Catholic bigots used to use the term ‘Vatican firsters’ or ‘Irish firsters,’ as if to suggest Americans who support Israel have dual loyalty. This false charge goes back to the Bible — goes back to the Book of Esther, goes back thousands of years. It was one of Hitler’s justifications for killing the Jews: ‘Dual loyalty, they’re not good Germans, they’re not good Americans,’ whatever it is.” Daily Caller
