The president and chief executive officer of The Associated Press on Sunday called the government's secret seizure of two months of reporters' phone records "unconstitutional" and said the news cooperative had not ruled out legal action against the Justice Department.
Gary Pruitt, in his first television interviews since it was revealed the Justice Department subpoenaed phone records of AP reporters and editors, said the move already has had a chilling effect on journalism. Pruitt said the seizure has made sources less willing to talk to AP journalists and, in the long term, could limit Americans' information from all news outlets.

Honestly, I hope Obama attacks NBC,ABC, and CBS. I want to their private email and phone records splashed all over the Internet, with Eric Holder daring them to complain.
I hope Eric Holder does a “Janet Reno”, and surrounds NBC news with tanks.
Honestly, these reporters make me sick. Watched them make excuses for the sleaze bag today. Sickening. So pissed I will never watch NBC again.
So sue.
This AP bs is a smoke screen to hide that Obama sicked his IRS on conservative groups to rig the election for Obama
funny how it broke at exactly the same time
also the media trotted out OJ and jolie at the same time
Is this blathering, or did someone at the AgitProp, Administration Press, finally WAKE UP?
Took him long enough to state the obvious. Comes from relying on wire services for his news.
Hey AP...you've been Obamugabe's willing "Pravda" for 5+ years now...gonna finally wake up?
And even then Brian Williams told them it was just Republicans "stirrin' thin's up."
Anyone remember this guy? Arrested for a "video" that Hitlery and Obamugabe used to divert attention away from their unwillingness to save human lives in Libya?
Yep...he is still in jail.
Hey AP, how about doing some stories exposing the lies of Hitlery and Obamugabe on THAT occasion?
You folks at the AP aren't the only ones being oppressed by this administration.
Hey, did you hear about the IRS targeting conservatives?
Yup.
“Chief Justice Roberts:
“It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.”
You hit on something very important. Roberts was very, very wrong. The electorate can be lied to and manipulated. The Constitution is not subservient to the results of any election. It cannot be changed legally without a Constitutional amendment, a process that was designed to be difficult, and to not include the President. The question before the court with the health care law had nothing to do at all with any election. It was a matter of simple Constitutionality. He absolutely did not do his job.
The Constitution protects the people of the United States. The job of the Supreme Court is to make sure that the laws of the land, and their interpretation and enforcement, are all consistent with the Constitution. In so doing, the Supreme Court is indeed sometimes responsible for protecting people from their political choices.
Blah blah blah.
(yawn)
I guess this assclown Pruitt has to pretend he’s “outraged” at his president, the guy he and the rest of the Democrat “mainstream” newsrooms worked so hard to elect and protect. LOL, he’ll get over it. And then it’s back to spinning for the Hillary campaign, and protecting her from Benghazi.
This can destroy a business. If it were a GOP President, he wouldn’t hesistate to sue and make this a meme. They’d have already called it worse than Watergate.
Ok, who told the AP the Constitution exists?
Yeah, that lawsuit should have been filed the day after the "seizure", I'm betting he could have actually cooperated with the government. Had this not become public, I don't think we hear a sniff from them.
You had better or you will never have another trigger to pull...ever...again.
Hear, hear.
Yep...he is still in jail.
So ..,.doesn't he have an attorney......should sue the feds for big bucks.
Maybe Issa can get him to testify.
