Squelching the Tea Party Gave Obama the Election

Remember all the headlines during the election, wondering what happened to the Tea Party, the liberal crowing that it had gone silent?

NPR, February 2012: "Strong in 2010, Where Is the Tea Party Now?" - "what's most striking about the movement this election has been its notable absence." Mother Jones, "The Tea Party is Dead." ." ABC: "What Happened to the Tea Party?" New York Times, June 2012: "The Movement Has Fizzled Out."

Remember how odd it was hear conservative pundits saying, 'our voters would crawl over broken glass to vote against Obama', while pollsters correctly predicted that Republican turnout would be nowhere near what it was in 2010? Remember 2010, when the Tea Party grassroots roared? Remember 2012, when the Tea Party was missing? Obama lost Democrat votes in the 2012 election. He won because Republicans stayed home. Democrats got their vote out, we didn't. The contrast between Republican turnout in 2010 and 2012 can be summed up in two words:

Tea Party.

People are now afraid of being identified with being Republicans.

Republicans are more likely than Democrats to be audited. More likely to have the press assume they’re ‘the terrorists’ when a bomb goes off - even when it’s always a radical Muslim...

More likely to be represented badly by Hollywood...

If Republicans leaders can’t defend us, they’re finished. Why should we vote for people who wave the white flag when bullies hurt us?

If they can’t defend their base, they can’t defend the country either.

Doesn’t bode well for our side - if folks are able to be so handily squelched, they have won and it’s only going to get worse. Even SCOTUS is loath to upset the apple cart and nobody is willing to “put the country through the agony of a real government shakeup”. Without using the strongarm tactics of the Left, we are doomed to continue the slide towards tyranny. Lots of folks talk, but getting the gumption to take real action is problematic.

There were a lot of reasons why 0bama won the election. IRS repression was one, but only one of many. The list, in order:

1. A dumbed-down electorate incapable or unwilling to engage in critical thought;

2. A permanently dependent class of parasites whose votes have been purchased with other people’s money;

3. A partisan media-entertainment complex that acts as the propaganda arm of the democrat party;

4. A weak Republican Presidential candidate who could not sell himself or appeal to the average American;

5. Vote fraud in it’s many forms (I personally think there were many Republican votes cast, that were simply not counted);

6. IRS repression of opposition groups.

There are probably a few others, but I thought these were the main ones.

The outcome of the 2012 election is much more complex than just one issue. At the top of the list was an uninspiring GOP Presidental candidate who’s GOTV effort imploded in spectacular fashion (everyone remembers ORCA, right?)

That having been said, I’m sure that the IRS intimidation contributed, somewhat. And would have made a difference had the election been exceptionally close. It probably did impact the outcome of a couple Senate and a few House races.

The biggest impact tho was the suppression of knowlege of the targeting. Had that come out and hit the press in late September or early October I
have no doubt Romney would be President.

Right now the emphasis should be on defining and documenting the scope of the impact. I hope that Conservative groups’ lawyers are out there now gathering affidavits on ALL scenarios where the IRS targeting had an impact on the formation and operations of Conservative groups.

Ok Obama, you won that round, but we have another round coming in 2014—and this time we are going to punish you and your whole crew —your cheatin’ ways will not will this fight! When the Revived Tea Parties hit back your whole party will be tossed into the ash heap of history—Democrats will be right next to the Whigs of old.

If that caused anyone to not vote, they wouldn’t have voted to begin with...I don’t know anyone that would let that stop them from going to the polls to vote....

I don't completely agree.
I believe there WAS ENOUGH Voter Fraud to throw the 80 Electoral College Votes from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Florida.
I also believe that had Romney SAVAGED Obama, like he SAVAGED the Conservatives that ran against him in the Primary, Romney would have gotten more votes in the General election.
So yes, it's Romney's fault, but there WAS ENOUGH VOTER FRAUD to steal the election for Obama.
