After years of economic dysfunction, the country has gotten used to shortages of medicines and basic food items like milk and sugar but the scarcity of bathroom tissue has caused unusual alarm.
"Even at my age, I've never seen this," said 70-year-old Maria Rojas. She said she had been looking for toilet paper for two weeks when she finally found it at a supermarket in downtown Caracas.
Thousands of rolls flew off the store's shelves as consumers streamed in and loaded up shopping carts Thursday morning.
"I bought it because it's hard to find," said Maria Perez, walking out with several rolls of paper.
"Here there's a shortage of everything — butter, sugar, flour," she said. But the latest shortage is particularly worrisome "because there always used to be toilet paper."

LOL, this is timely. At Sam’s club today hubby asked what I needed to get. Says I, “we need “T” paper”. He informed me that we already had three of the 36 roll packs. But says I, wtshtf it’s the one thing I don’t want to run out of. He laughed at me and said there was no danger of running out “T” paper in this country. I bought the big pack anyway. I’m gonna tell him, “I told you so” and show him this thread. Remember this you guys. Listen to your wives. :o)

They also have regular shortages of staples, yes staples like flour, powdered milk and women’s hygiene products....
In Korea you see TP in bathrooms, kitchens and the restaurant table. All purpose. Rear, hands, napkins. The wonder tool.
What else can you expect from that sort of political system run by a no good tyrannical THUG?

I’m well-supplied w/ 620 rolls of TP, 200 rolls of Bounty PTs, and 50 boxes of Kleenex. Wouldn’t make a dent in their problem, but Dad and I are good for 6-8mos. This is an old pic; tere 3-4x the amount down there, now:

A friend of mine did that because he didnt know what poison ivy looked like. The air force doctor thought he had some exotic std.
