COULTER: When Did we Vote to Become Mexico?
Human Events ^ | May 22, 2013 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 05/22/2013 8:52:05 PM PDT by opentalk

At first I thought the IRS scandal was leaked to distract from the Benghazi scandal. But that didn’t make sense because the IRS scandal is a more obvious abuse of power than the White House lying about the murder of four Americans in Libya.

Before I had resolved which scandal was distracting from which, we found out the Department of Justice was spying on The Associated Press —not to protect national security, but to prevent the AP from scooping the White House. Then, this week, it broke that the Department of Justice was also spying on Fox News for reasons that remain unexplained.

Meanwhile, Sens. Marco Rubio, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham and John McCain are working feverishly to turn the country into Mexico.

So now I think all the scandals are intended to distract from Rubio’s amnesty bill.

Simple question for these quislings. How is the government going to conduct background checks on 11-33 million illegals. They can’t. They won’t. Get it? Jokes on us. Follow the money.

America has been betrayed by the crooks in Washington, from “both” parties.

They crooks are replacing American voters with Mexicans.

Why do you suppose that is......

Rubio says the citizen process will take 13 years and those who entered illegally and apply will not be eligible for benefits.

BULL CRAP, MARCO!

The minute thse "immigrants" get in touch with their local community organizer they will be voting and with their support all the garbage Marco is spilling will be gone with the next election. They will have benefits, they will have welfare, they will have health care and free education and with one more election they will have another Obama and we will have nothing left to fight for.

Thanks Marco McCain.

We all have to stay focused on this amnesty bill push as well as keeping a balance to the other problems of the Obama administration with common sense. This amnesty bill will change America in a point of no return.

"How is the government going to conduct background checks on 11-33 million illegals."

They made it clear that any background check will not include using an "acquired" SS#, or cross checking voter registration role.

So:
Enter illegally -- OK
Steal an American ID --OK
Commit felony vote fraud -- OK

As Milton Friedman said, you cannot have open borders and a welfare state. The reason a country’s average immigrant matters is that the losers never go home — they go on welfare.

Good point! Great article.

That's right. We were mockingly referred to as ‘purists’, ‘truthers’, and ‘birthers’. Oh yeah, and ‘morons’ if you did not embrace the Romney campaign.

I think it's called reaping what you sow.

Was that due to the BO vote or the Rubio vote?

Because Rubio is questionably, but perhaps, worse.

I called and sent faxed letters to my representatives both Democrat and Republican in 2009 until I dropped to stop the healthcare law. I participated in Tea Party protests. What did I get? A Republican of the SCOTUS to uphold the law. I do not think anything I do will matter if the lords in congress want it.

Yeah, but it began in November 2000 when we elected our first amnesty loving President. It’s not like we have a Party dedicated to the interests of the American people.

In that May 3rd speech Obama gave before the Mexican Anthropological Museum in which he blamed America for the violence in Mexico I believe he went even futhur. There’s a inference but never referenced by name to the Gasden purchase and border settlements US made with Mexico where Obama hinted he seems to side with the Mexican claims. Would those in attendence share that view is a question that should be asked, because I believe they would,.he does.

The Mexicans have been getting most favorable treatment above the rest of our neighbors both north and south. They’re permitted to cross our borders and enter illegally and are allowed access to rights of citizenship (with the exception of voting which if the democrat party regains control over the House will happen) other nationals entering this country don’t get.

Also by allowing Mexicans to do this any quota ration for immigration from other south and central American countrys are taken up by Mexicans while that country is laying claim to a large chunk of our sovereign territory.

We are already seeing the result of this in certain areas claimed by the Mexicans. Their national flag (standard) gets displayed over ours. Where there is a controlling number of Mexican nationals (illegals). It’s displayed over certain institutions particularly schools accompanied by riots and disturbances. Blacks are threatend by Mexicans in certain sections of citys in those areas. We’re courting trouble by not placing a value on our sovereignty and our citizenship.

Worse yet if a US citizen goes into Mexico never mind illegaly but legally. They’ll get 2nd class treatment. Land ownership in title is prohibited period. And there are a slew of regulations they must comply with. Which doesn’t apply to a citizen of Mexico.

By not insisting on reciprocity particularly on those who have entered this country illegally we’re offering no incentive for assimilation and we’re not easing the burden for our fellow citizens who for what ever reason decided to live in Mexico.

[[Enter illegally — OK

These are only illegal IF you are born here and a natural citizen-

Perhaps we shoudl all renounce our citizenship- move to mexico, then in a few years sneak back over the border to the US so we can have all the ‘rights’ we don’t have as legal law abidign citizens- A life of govenrment protected crime soudns pretty cushy-

That's a great link that deserves much more attention. This paragraph near the end sums up our political class (both parties) nicely:

"Though similar stories involving lesser politicians do not make headlines, several lawmakers we met also had a special, giddy mystique of Mexico as a place where moneyed leaders coexist with tame, grateful citizens. It would seem that the American political class has a special affinity for their colleagues south of the border. The appeal of their lavishness and impunity seems to strike a positive chord in the American politicians, who perhaps resent being held accountable by their citizens, who cannot become wealthy from politics, and who may be removed from power "unfairly" and without warning."

Ecellent article!

What could be motivating U.S. legislators to ... see their constituents—already politically mature and proven as responsible and civic-minded—as an obstacle needing replacement? In other words, why would they want to replace a nation that works remarkably well... with another that has trouble forming stable, normal countries?

Mexicans are kind and hardworking.... However, Mexicans are seemingly unable to produce anything but corrupt and tyrannical rulers, oftentimes even accepting them as the norm, unaffected by allegations of graft or abuse. Mexico, and Latin American societies in general, seem to suffer from ... accepting the "natural progress" of the political class rather than challenging it, and also appearing more susceptible to "miracle solutions" and demagogic political appeals.

... most of the population accepts and expects corruption from the political class.
