More than 30 years after he graduated high school, President Obama's senior prom pictures have emerged in public, featuring the president when he was 17 years old, clad in a white sport coat and a lei, posing for pictures with his friends.
The photos, obtained by TIME, show Mr. Obama, then a student at Punahou School in Hawaii, hanging out with his date Megan Hughes, his friend Greg Orme, and Orme's date Kelli Allman (then McCormack), according to Allman, who provided the photos to TIME.
"It was a really fun, happy time. We were all cracking up, and everyone was smiling," Allman told TIME. "It was pretty typical from there out as far as what happens at prom: the dinner and the dancing and the photos."

Regardless, as others have mentioned, I think it is a tactic to humanize our dear leader, to change the mental image to a reminder of “what a nice young man” he was. Not. Ever.
Obama is going to resign. This is just part of the preparation. Obama has outlived his usefulness to the Democrat party. Obama isn’t important. Black people aren’t important. The Democrat party is what’s important. They are setting the stage so that Obama can resign and blame the Republicans.
“I really wanted to stay and fight for the American middle class, but the racist Republicans were using these little problems to block our agenda. So, I’m going to resign so that Joe can carry on our fight for America.”
The sad part is that the Americans who are black won’t see this as a kick in their teeth by the Democrat party. The Democrats s**t all over the Americans who are black, and the Americans who are black thank them for the ice cream.
He went to the prom with a girl from another school? That has “blind date” all over it. ‘Nuff said, if you know what I mean.
She needs a bra under that very poor fitting dress. Makes you think she didn’t put much effort into getting all gussied up for the big date.

Obama’s head is ~ 20% larger than average...
In the picture where he is looking to the right, if the woman in blue is his prom date, did he ask her to marry him, as it looks as if she has an engagement ring or wedding ring on her left hand.
Here, obama’s hand is on the guy’s shoulder. hmm
She has some kind of ring on for the Prom
Maybe that’s what we’ve been seeing in all the other pictures that look photoshopped - he just doesn’t look proportionate, or something’s wrong with the lighting on his face compared to others, etc.
Then again, you could be measuring his ‘fro... :)
