Murkowski tosses cold water on Palin comeback

The streams emerging from beneath an Arctic glacier are several degrees warmer than the icy water Alaska’s Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski has tossed on a Tea Party group’s effort to draft former Gov. Sarah Palin as a U.S. Senate candidate in 2014.

Reviving one of Alaska’s great political feuds, Murkowski told The Hill newspaper in Washington, D.C.:

“I think there are a lot of outside interests that would like to see Sarah Palin in some form of elected office. Most in Alaska recognize our former governor is rally not involved in or engaged in the state anymore, that she’s moved to other interests. In order to represent the state, you’ve got to be in the state.”

Never ceases to get my blood boiling, the way the Republican Party sat by and did nothing while their own ‘08 VP candidate gets targeted by sleazoid Dem operatives in a deliberate attempt to force her into financial bankrupcy, when her church was torched, when her kids and family were calculatedly dragged through tabloid mud, when the media placed blame directly on her for the Tucson mass-murder...

All while this same damned Republican Party went on an all-out crusade to save the vile, corrupt Murkowski’s Senate seat after she lost in her primary election! Man, it burns me up, just thinking about it again!

nevertheless....Sarah Palin is now an Arizona resident, so far as I know.

She’d look really good taking over McCain’s seat.

Exactly! She has zero, zip, nada credibility and Sarah Palin would be a threat to the Kow.

Exactly, Sarah scares them deeply.

The MurCowski's are as dirty in Alaskan Politics as Harry Reid is in Nevada.

That is deep my FReinds, and when you face down that beast they are going to bit back.

Sarah has been bitten by the Mad Cow before but She Hasn't stopped turning them Gray(er) either.

Most in Alaska recognize our former governor is rally not involved in or engaged in the state anymore, that she’s moved to other interests.

But Hillary Clinton was deeply involved and engaged in New York before she moved there to run for the Senate...

She lives here in Wasilla most of the year, but, like many Alaskans, has a second residence in Arizona as a haven for the winter months.

“....Palin....She’s an executive personality, not a collegial one. The Senate isn’t the best place for her if she wants a government role; her abilities are better suited for the executive branch.

I agree. If she doesn’t end up with the Presidency, she’d be excellent as a Treasury Secretary making sure the IRS was cleaned up, working with Congress to replace the current Income Tax laws and then managing the firing of 95% of current IRS employees. Leave enough working to close down shop and turn out the lights. Don’t worry folks, these federal employees can get other jobs for which they’re qualified—perhaps as telemarketers.

Thanks redhead.

I appreciate ScottinVA posed a question, but why do so many here at FR accept the words of Dims, Libs and RINOs when it comes to questions regarding Sarah Palin? Once upon a time Freepers checked every word those people stated including "and", "but", and "then" before believing a word out of their ever-lying mouths.

My guess is that Governor Palin will not run for the Senate, but even the thought that she might scares the living daylights out of Murkowski. Thus, her statement.

An executive role. I agree. She still remains my top choice for 2016. If the GOP doesn’t go at very least in the Palin/Cruz vein, it can do without me or my vote. It’s a bridge I’ve already crossed.

Some of you need to pay attention. Yes, the Palin’s bought a house in Arizona, but no, they did not leave Alaska. And no, the Palin’s are not citizens of Arizona. They are considered snowbirds, but in addition to having the option to escape the Alaska winter, when Sarah has events to attend in the lower 48, she and Todd are able to hang their hats in Arizona.

Besides, this article is just another of the many articles generated by the effort the Tea Party Leadership Fund made when they came up with this hair brain scheme to draft her just so they could fundraise off of it.

She was the incumbent sitting Senator when reelected, a lifelong republican, elected as a republican (until losing the primary) and, as the Senate rinos assured the voters that she would retain full power and seniority, and that they would be forgiven for voting against her in the primary if they would keep her in office and not elect the tea party guy.

It isn’t like she took the seat as an independent from nowhere, she was already the republican senator holding the seat.
