So, it CAN be done.
In regards to the Boy Scouts.....with the right financing, contributions, motivation, etc. some determined group could start a competing scouting organization. I believe there would be a rush of parents yanking their sons out of the Scouts and enrolling them in "morally straight" troops.
When I was a yout, I belonged to the Campfire Girls which competed with the Girl Scouts....so, again, it CAN be done.

That’s what my troop did many years ago. However, the problem is the whole issue of troop recruitment. It’s not so much the attack on the troop - but on where the troop could meet. Many scouting groups meet on school grounds. What happened is that it became very difficult to find a place for the group to meet and it was hard to get boys interested in joining without the overall group support.
But that was fifteen years ago. I don’t know that things are different enough now to make this useful for the boys today.
