My understanding is that the key to this is in the major donor organizations which consist of marketing companies taken over by homosexual activists.
The only thing those folks do is finance the professional staff which was EXPANDED back in the 70/80 period in anticipation of there being a drop in volunteers.
Well, they just got that ~ a drop in volunteers. Nobody goes out in the woods with a homosexual boyscout, or leader, NOBODY ~ if not for morality at least out of fear of lawsuits.
The key donors have their professional staff. And that's what they've got.

My feelings on the Scouts are similar to yours,
I was involved with them on and off for 40 years, I would frequently recommend them to parents of boys as an ally for their son, I will not do that anymore. Very sad, like the death of a friend.
Unfortunately the gaystapo is trying to outlaw attempts to correct children’s sexuality.

What is needed is for a critical mass of former Boy Scouts, to re-form the Boy Scouts.
Let the Rainbow warriors have the old, pretend Boy Scouts.
Form a new, real Boy Scouts.

And it will be spun by the homosexual community and the media as those folks are homophobes, haters and all other sorts of negativity...

That is the reason for this change in the first place. Gay activists alone could not have directly brought this about. Instead, they have pressured numerous corporations who make up a substantial amount of the funding for the Boy Scouts. It was the corporations that pressured the national board. Several on the board are heads of very large public companies.
You just have to wonder if those same corporations will pay for the litigation when the 17 year old gay Scouts age out, want to become leaders and are turned down. I doubt it. Within 3-5 years they will change the rules again and allow openly gay leaders as well.
So, it CAN be done.
In regards to the Boy Scouts.....with the right financing, contributions, motivation, etc. some determined group could start a competing scouting organization. I believe there would be a rush of parents yanking their sons out of the Scouts and enrolling them in "morally straight" troops.
When I was a yout, I belonged to the Campfire Girls which competed with the Girl Scouts....so, again, it CAN be done.

I was a boy scout in the early 90s. I'll probably go up the attic, find my old uniform, and mail it back to them. The BSA is dead to me and their "morally straight" oath means nothing now.
