The problem I see...somewhere in the next three years...some thirteen year old scout is going to sexually assault a twelve-year old scout, and the cops will be called in. Charges will be done, and a court case rigged up. What to worry about though...is the civil case. The parents will sue the scout organization, and hundreds of thousands will be at stake. After that....every scout organization will require some bonded insurance deal, and the cost per year will range from the hundreds to the thousands.

It’s a spiral from this point.

The other problem is that this faux compromise means gays “getting the foot in the door”.
My husband became an Eagle Scout before getting paid to be a junior instructor and life guard at camp at 18 and 19 years old. What happens when these 16 year old gays hit 18 and want to volunteer with younger scouts or teach at camps? How do you say no, if they are not “leaders” but are old enough to legally have sex?
