Apparently the Nevada Assembly, Judiciary Committee has secretly added SB221 to it's agenda for TUESDAY - yes the day after tomorrow. This is a bad bill and needs to be stopped.
SB221 is the worst assault we have seen on the second amendment in Nevada and every gun owner needs to get involved! We are fighting against the infamous Mayors Against Illegal Guns who has spent a lot of money to blast print, radio, and TV with ads in support of SB221. We as NV residents have done very little to oppose this bill and we are about to pay the price.
SB221 will require all private party sales of firearms be done through a FFL dealer and allows dealers to charge a transfer fee of up to $30 on top of the state $25 background check, adding a second undue tax on the lawful sale of firearms.
Further SB221's enforcement is poorly constructed and, just like the Federal universal background check system, is truly useless without a full firearm registration system tracking the ownership of all guns.
We are challenging all NVS members and all NV gun owners to step up and support our 2A rights like we all talk about doing. We need you to SHOW UP to the Assembly Judiciary committee hearing this Tuesday 5/28 at 8am, Las Vegas Grant Sawyer Room 4412 and Carson Room 2149. Even if you can't stay for the entire meeting we need you to show up, be seen, and sign in as opposing the bill.
To those that accept our challenge we will give a FREE CCW class so you may further support your 2A rights with proper training and carrying of a concealed firearm.
If you absolutely can not show up then please submit your opinion via the Legislature's opinion website and email the Assembly Judiciary committee members Jason.Frierson@asm.state.nv.us, James.Ohrenschall@asm.state.nv.us, Richard.Carrillo@asm.state.nv.us, Lesley.Cohen@asm.state.nv.us, Olivia.Diaz@asm.state.nv.us, Marilyn.DonderoLoop@asm.state.nv.us, Andrew.Martin@asm.state.nv.us, Ellen.Spiegel@asm.state.nv.us, Wesley.Duncan@asm.state.nv.us, Michele.Fiore@asm.state.nv.us, Ira.Hansen@asm.state.nv.us, Jim.Wheeler@asm.state.nv.us.

The formerly great state of Nevada has been Californicated.
You are exactly right and Mayor Bloomers is ass deep in this tyranny.
Done.
Yup. It always amazes me that all these liberals run from their communist states to conservative or moderate states and settle there and then elect more liberals to destroy that state as it does the one they ran from. They did it to NC, SC, and Florida and are doing it to other states. They get tired of the liberal garbage BUT CONTINUE to vote for liberals and elect them to liberalize the new state!! What idiots.
Thank you!
They did it to California fifty years ago.
Send this to all those in your gun club. Defeat this tyranny before it is implemented.
Already done last week.
Not totally yet but they’re tryin’.
Rec’d an update from Sen. Settelmeyer on this yesterday. I’m going to try to get down to Carson City on Tuesday Morning. Already contacted my Assemblywoman and contacted the gov as well. Hiz honor napoleon bloombergapart and the newtowners need to stay out of NV politics. Sorry for your loss to those in CT but you need to stay out of our business. Period. This ain’t NYC and we don’t want to be. For sure. And we don’t want to be kali either. At least those of us outside of vegas.
I have heard back from Wesley Duncan, he is a no vote.
Although Benitez-Thompson isn’t on the committee I contacted her but will probably not get any response other than her saying “I’m not on that committee.” Kind of like the last response I got from her. Still planning on getting down to CC tomorrow morning. Maybe get a chance to talk to Jim Wheeler. Pretty certain he’s a not vote as well. Actually, REAL certain.
Also heard back from Wheeler. “No” vote. I can’t make to CC tomorrow. After the long weekend to many work tasks.
