Their actual announcement makes a big deal of increasing video on their web site. Maybe I’m old school but news to all you news sites who think video is the end all be all: For those of us who can read, it isn’t.

It’s the Sun Times that’s doing this. The Tribune is reporting it.

Good news from a dying paper that is little more than an extension of the Chicago City Hall and White House press offices. All they need is someone to decide which Democrat press release to turn into a lead headline.

It's an honor just to work here!

That might as well go in most Craigslist ads wanting photographers/videographers/editors with any experience and equipment offering no pay or "exposure" or "possibilities of future paying gigs".

“Jobs? Who needs a real job? Jobs are so 20th century...”

*SMIRK*

I have a file folder 10” THICK of people that wanted entry-level CRAP jobs at my place of business this season. I had everyone from the SAHM hoping to pad her income as Husband no longer has a job to people with MASTERS DEGREES laid off from our local University - now that We The People have figured out how they were scamming us, year after year and we stopped funding them. (God Bless Governor Scott Walker, R, WI. We LOVE you, Man!)

We still get 2-3 applications each week for jobs, even though I flat-out tell them we are not hiring again until next MARCH when they hover in the hallway outside of my office...

That makes me sound snotty, but I’m not! I can pick and choose those I want to work for me these days. It’s kinda nice, actually, but it does not solve the larger problem in our Nation.

And for the Newbies and Lurkers here, MORE SOCIALISM does NOT solve this problem, EITHER!
