George W. Bush Expresses Thoughts on Immigration Reform, Bushily
New York Magazine ^ | 5/30/2013

Posted on 05/30/2013 3:53:11 PM PDT by nickcarraway

"I think the atmosphere, unlike when I tried it, is better, maybe for the wrong reason. The right reason is it's important to reform a broken system. I'm not sure a right reason is that in so doing we win votes. I mean when you do the right thing, I think you win votes, as opposed to doing something that's the right thing to win votes. Maybe there's no difference there. It seems like there is to me though." —George W. Bush on immigration reform, according to the Huffington Post.

Just consider while reading this, that the spoken word is no more or less than unspoken thoughts. This is the thought process that led the world for 8 years. And people wonder how we got in this fix we're in.

“The right reason is it’s important to reform a broken system.”

It isn’t broken. They federal government refuses to enforce the law because they illegally give welfare to illegal aliens who then vote for them, also illegally.

GOP slapped down Bush's Amnesty

now commercials play constantly on Rush and Hannity telling us lies that this new Amnesty is conservative. commercials are lies. all they have to do is turn 10% of Republicans into voting with all democrats that will vote for Amnesty and they will have it. And the IRS suppressed tea party groups so we'd have more conservatives in the Congress to stop Amnesty if the IRS hadn't criminally rigged the election

This is the most trans-formative bill and must be stopped. call Congress and tell them we are not fooled by the lies in those “conservative” commercials

This criminal Obama shouldn't get any of his agenda passed especially now that it is known it committed all these crimes including getting the IRS to rig the election.

Of course, to a very wealthy man who's family will never, ever suffer the effects of the law he proposes, legalizing millions of illiterate & needy illegals seems like 'the right thing' to do and is bound to make him feel good about himself.

To those who will pay the bill and suffer the violence attendant to such a large influx of dirt poor foreign peoples into the society the goodness of it seems a bit less black & white.

No elected official has the God given right or authority to strip American citizens of their God given rights in the name of another religion called human rights. Fix the hell holes these that come here ILLEGALLY, to feast off US like parasites!

That M F’r! The only reason that system was broken was because he simply refused to abide by Article IV Section IV of the document he swore to abide by.

The right reason is it's important to reform a broken system

The only "system" that was broken was by allowing RINOs into the party.

Is he saying the time maybe better to get this bill passed but they should not be doing this just to win votes. Hint, hint, election coming up. Maybe, he slapped the gang of 8, after-all. I didn’t read the full article since I could not get it to download yet. I know I read that his brother, Jeb has played a very active role in the writing and the wording of the immigration(amnesty) bill. There were stories on Newsmax about Jeb’s involvement.

Or perhaps doing the wrong thing for the wrong reasons.

Enforce existing law, end anchor babies, and the problem is solved.

I figure the presence of illegal aliens has already cost my sons and their friends EACH well over half a million bucks in lost employment opportunities ~ I'm afraid we can't afford any more of this nonsense.

If the Bushies gotta' have their upstairs maids, and kitchen wenches or whatever, they can MOVE THERE!
