Holder invited members of the media in for a sit-down— some of whom his DOJ had expressly targeted for surveillance under dubious national-security claims, and almost nobody came. The AP, one of Holder’s targets, said no. The NY Post said no. The NY Times said no. CNN said no. Fox News, another target, said no. Even liberal Huffington Post said "no, not if it’s off the record." (Politico, WSJ, Washington Post, The New Yorker, NY Daily News did attend.) Holder had insisted the chat (to “discuss guidelines,” whatever that means) be off the record — which meant that nothing he told them could be reported publicly......that’s basically a license to lie......most of the Fourth Estate is still reeling from the news that its beloved Obama administration has been waging a surreptitious (until now) campaign against it.

The National Organization for Standardized Journalism issues the credential only after performing a very thorough check on how the journalist has voted. :)
The WH press corps gets vetted and is given “credentials”.... a hanging tag worn around their necks to gain admittance to WH pressers.

These news organizations had a lot to lose by standing up to the Administration. News people live or die by their sources. Obama holds his sources tight - and his anger cold - a dangerous combination for a news person. Yet our press chose to stand on principle - even down to the 'oh so liberal' Huffington Post... We should be grateful and give thanks for their courage. We've been blessed.
A spoof of that commercial mocking the state run media would be fun. Have a dippy Obamabot saying there are no scandals, because the media says so. Then have a young guy asking about Benghazi, Fast and Furious, The IRS, DOJ spying. Finally, have a reporter walk up and say, "I'm objective. I report what's important for you to know." Let the young guy say at the end, i guess that's why Obama is the last to know anything. He gets his news from them."

“Credentialed media” excludes bloggers and opinionated citizens like you and me.
They are laying the groundwork for those to whom The First Amendment applies from here on in.
