I forgot Cruz. He’s the real deal, and I certainly would be ecstatic to him him as nominee. He could also win in unexpected places if he runs a good campaign.
Walker does have serious exec ezxperience, and has been through the wringer more, but Cruz is good man worthy of anybody’s supprt as I write this.
RE: can anyone tell me what his Second Amendment stance is?

Scott Walker on Gun Control
* The Second Amendment is not optional. (Nov 2010)
* Opposes restrictions on the right to bear arms. (Aug 2010)

“Protecting and preserving our constitutional freedoms is one of the most important things a governor can do. The Bill of Rights forbids the government from infringing on the freedoms unique to America, but that hasn’t deterred politicians who want to treat the Second Amendment as optional and strip us of the right to keep and bear arms. I will fight these attempts to get around the U.S. and Wisconsin Constitutions and I will strive to protect our rights today and for future generations.”

Music to my ears!!!!! Thanks.

Although anyone who has graduated with a BA in the Liberal Arts can tell you that 90%+ of what you were taught was useless, navel-gazing, and/or propaganda, many people might look at this as intellectual weakness.
I know that Bill Gates, etc. didn’t finish college, and 0bama seems to have spent his time at occidental on the bong, they are libs and can get away with it. Palin got trashed on this issue even though she is a college graduate.
As I previously posted before he is the one to keep an eye on.
Three great presidents (top 25%): Washington, Lincoln and Cleveland
Three good (next 25%): Jackson, Taylor, Fillmore
That's six of nine better than average.
One fair (third 25%): Truman
Two bad (bottom 25%): Van Buren and Andrew Johnson
And Johnson, at least, wasn't bad because he was evil. Just incompetent.
What is it about Scott Walker that is not conservative or conservative enough?
I’d rather have a rust belt conservative. Conservatives are doing good things in the great lakes area rebuilding from the ruins of longtime democrat areas. It is a good comparison with the democrats.
From Journal Sentinel Online, Feb. 28, 2013:
"During the Politico interview, Walker complained about a broken immigration system and said the U.S. should reduce the barriers to legal entry for people who want to come here and 'live the American dream.' He said, 'We should be welcoming those people with open arms.'" [emphasis added]
Unfettered illegal immigration is an absolute deal breaker for me - for ANY REAL CONSERVATIVE.
Additionally, Walker hasn't responded forcefully enough to fight the previous legislature's unconstitutional creation of "civil union" status for homosexuals - prohibited by the Wisconsin marriage amendment.
According to Iowa, Huckabee should have been president.
This article is just someone tossing up another name.
It is going to get mighty old, since we have 3 years before the next election.
Every week is going to be a new flavor, a new name, a new wonder boy or girl.
We got concealed carry under Walker.
Who would you prefer over Walker on the 2016 ticket?
I don’t know yet. All the potentials need study.
Man that is fantastic!

Scott Walker causes stir in Iowa — but wait a minute. We’re not done with him here!
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Don’t worry. If he becomes a serious contender, we’ll manage to pick him into pieces. It’s what we do.
Walker is a hunter and has overseen our Wisconsin’s move to concealed carry. He signed the bill as soon as it hit his desk.
He sounds as solid as titanium.

Pure puff piece, and some kind of prearranged trial balloon. Michele Bachmann was popular in Iowa too, before any heads or votes were actually counted.
