I cannot tell a lie, he was an awful senator and not well liked, mostly an unpleasant do nothing. A sad tribute to people in NJ rushing to vote for any liberal democrat.

And Christie will appoint someone to the left of the gang of 8 republicans.

When my father-in-law caught it in his late eighties, a rather insensitive female doctor said that to my wife, who handled it well, I thought. He got better, but died a few years later, peacefully, though his last few years were somewhat difficult.

NOW you know why Obama has spent the past 8 months working so hard to schmooze Christie.

Having access to everyone’s medical records does yield certain advantages.

Not to worry. The Dems will dig him up when they can’t find anybody else to put on the ballot.

U.S. Army Signal Corps, where Lautenberg served in also had Julius Rosenberg as an active duty participant for 5 years, 1940-45 (But was eventually kicked out). Not sure who did more damage to liberty, Lautenberg (The people of New Jersey for continuously electing the reprobate) or Rosenberg.

Either way, serving in the military does not give a person cover for making horrible choices; truth, adherence to liberty, and honor are perpetual traits a person maintains, not dispose of and fall back on their military service when looking for respect.

You're not alone. I said "Oh Good!" when I saw the news.

To paraphrase Mark Twain regarding Lautenberg’s death: “I will not attend the funeral —but I will send a nice letter stating that I approve of it.”

Hey, a dead Democrat is a _______________ Democrat (you fill in the blank).

Let’s not sugar coat the Democrats. Look how many deaths they are directly responsible for by voting for abortion on demand. And why do we have to put these pukish politicians on a pedestal all the time? When a criminal dies, do we all rush out to issue our condolences?

The guy is dead and will meet his maker. God will take it from there.

The Torch would be perfect as a replacement for Eric Witholder. Someone that corrupt is wasted on small-change operations like that. His talents call for a job at the national level.

And Christie will appoint someone to the left of the gang of 8 republicans.

I have been posting for a while, that Lautenberg was not well, Menedez still has a 15 yr old Domenican Hooker Problem, and I put 2 and 2 together and saw why Obama is having a love-fest with Christie.

It will be a miracle that he doesn't appoint a Democrat.

Don't Forget, the special election Massachuetts on 6/25, and if the RINO wins and Christie doesn't appoint a Rat, Obama looses 2 Senate friendly seats, and if the Menedez Scandal gets legs he could loose 3, he can't have that, on the Cusp of immigration reform vote(s)...

Rubber already met the road as far as I'm concerned with Christie.

He’z a loud, obnoxious Northeastern liberal RINO.

Sorry, just how it iz.

It’s N.J.. ARE there any ‘reliable Republicans’ in that state?

Excellent point. Given the reliability of Christie, I am not hopeful.

Amazing that he was one of the founders of payroll giant ADP and was STILL a business-hating Demonicrat. I don’t understand the disconnect.

Now... if they could only run in threes... Harry Reid, John McCain...

Ted Kennedy (D-Chappaquiddick);
Robert Byrd (D-KKK);
Frank Lautenberg (D-NJSSR)

Free Republic has a long tradition of being respectful even to our opponents on obituary threads. Some of those opponents were honorable men. Patrick Moynihan springs to mind as an example.

However, there are some who are SO heinous, SO anti=-Constitutional, SO statist, SO traitorous, that they deserve nothing but scorn, even in death.

Ted Kennedy was one such man.

Frank Lautenberg is another. I spit on his grave and celebrate his death. May he rot in Hell.

So, Frank Lautenberg died?
