Devastating news for all the multi-tasking Whopper eaters out there: Burger King is not actually making hands-free Whopper holders.
It’s saddening news for all the dancers, landscapers, dog-walkers, guitar players and beach-goers who were looking forward to the possibility of eating their Whoppers more efficiently.
“The video featuring a ‘hands-free’ Whopper sandwich holder was produced by an agency in Puerto Rico to celebrate the brand and the iconic Whopper Sandwich in a humorous way. However, the product depicted in the spot was not produced, or distributed to guests as some reports indicate,” read a statement Burger King sent to CNBC.
The video that featured the exciting gadget was released for Burger King Puerto Rico’s 50th anniversary, and while the entire thing was obviously very humorous, it was not clear that the hands-free Whopper holder was a hoax.
