Meet your new late-night CNN host George Stroumboulopoulos, who feels the Toronto Mayor's alleged use of a gay slur was worse than if he had a crack addiction, and thinks New York City Mayor Bloomberg is a "right-winger" whose soda ban revealed that his "heart's in the right place" and whose support for "marriage equality" was "fantastic."
Stroumboulopoulos, currently a nightly CBC television host, will host a weekly talk show debuting on Sunday night June 9 and airing on Friday nights at 11 p.m. ET. CNN announced his show would focus on a variety of issues from sports to pop culture to politics. In an interview with HuffPost Live, he revealed his beliefs on multiple issues including legalization of pot, guns, gay marriage, and current politicians.
Regarding Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's alleged use of crack cocaine, Stromboulopoulos thinks that's not the worst part of the evidence on tape. A mayor can still serve while overcoming an addiction, but he can't if he drops a homophobic slur:

CNN’s evening led off on the Erin show tonite with a “big” story about the Boston Bomber Boy’s and their sobbing heartbroken mom,and (gasp) the first phone call between father and son, followed by long analysis of the call..

(I really can’t stick with Fox’s “DumbShep” for very long. Why don’t they let Haris Faulkner do the show? She at least does not goof around like a a corny 12-year-old, and it’s really hard to read her political views, which is maybe a good thing on a “straight news” show.

Bloomberg was never a conservative, he was always a liberal. The only reason he registered as Republican in 2001 was because incumbent mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani was ineligible to run for another term and Bloomberg wouldn’t have any chance as a rat to get elected. In 2005 he ran as an independent (quasi liberal) and then in 2009 he ran as a liberal democRat, which he has always been anyways
