I hate to say this but the entire thing needs to be shut down. I hope we have a govt shutdown over funding these organizations like NSA, IRS and DHS. It will be a short-term disaster but it would start the discussion of the size and scope of government that we need to have.
It is easy for the average person to be lulled into a sense that the people in power now are part of an unbroken line of ideology going back to the Constitution. That their motives and allegiances only vary a bit but otherwise follow along a steady trajectory of protecting the citizenry and the integrity of our institutions. Nothing could be further from the truth. The executive branch has been hijacked by a criminal organization, involved in the deepest and most dangerous conspiracies to have ever shaken our republic. Read again if it didn’t sink in.
