The judges were really upset about this, said the former official. As a result, Attorney General Eric Holder pledged to the judges that the intelligence agencies would take steps to correct the problem as a condition of renewing the NSAs surveillance program.

The National Security Agency has at times mistakenly intercepted the private email messages and phone calls of Americans who had no link to terrorism, requiring Justice Department officials to report the errors to a secret national security court and destroy the data, according to two former U.S. intelligence officials. Yep, they're getting right on that data destruction folks. They'll be taking care of that any moment now...

The National Security Agency has at times mistakenly intercepted the private email messages and phone calls of Americans who had no link to terrorism... Oh yeah? Huh. Approximately how many times was that "mistake" made?
Any connection between those "mistake" intercepts and, say... oh just for instance... the targets of the "mistakes" being from a particular political party?

So that's one of the ways they got to Chief Justice John Roberts.

These surveillance reports are kind of disturbing. IMO, they represent a fundemental violation of the 4th Amendment but, more importantly, they represent how much freedom has been taken away from us with neither our knowledge or permission.
Our government is out-of-control and, if we don’t do something to get control over all these secret programs, we will find ourselves in a worse position than the Soviet Union. As it is, we’re not too far from it, now.

Theyre lying.
Theyve been threatened with compromising info garnered from PRISM themselves.

Have you read what care is being denied veterans? For being veterans?
You don’t have to be anti-0bama. You could have bought the wrong color toothbrush and be denied care or be audited or be followed.
Or you could flat out be killed or blown up. Or disappear.
This is what was selected. Twice.
It’s odd that they think themselves immune from what they are doing, no?

It’s only a mistake if they also “accidentally” delete information they meant to keep. If the error is always in favor of the government (as it is with employment numbers - always being revised down) then the act is intentional.

We will find ourselves worse off eventually. What scares me is the talking heads on
T.V. who don't mind because they do nothing wrong. They think they've done nothing wrong
until their assertions become acceptable and the disease of fascism seeps into our lives and
destroys what once was the shining city on the hill. It has begun.
