Somehow this reminded me of the Brits embracing Islam as though it is a harmless unknown that warrants tender care

Take it into your home and then...

I hope Mrs. Longhorn watched them detonate the bomb. Maybe next time she’ll have more sense.

I can so see me doing this. I might put it in the dishwasher though after for a thorough cleaning.

4.5 inch diameter...a German anti-personnel "butterfly bomb" dropped during The Blitz?

When I was a twelve year old Army brat living in Okinawa, I once found a crusty old artillery shell that I promptly took home and hid under the house.

One of my little brothers ratted me out, and while walking home one day, I saw the bomb disposal squad outside my house with the area cordoned off.

Sure enough, the dang thing was unexploded ordinance from WWII. I got a stern talking to from my dad, who told me later that the bomb unit detonated the thing over the ocean.

I don’t know why they were so concerned about her washing it off in the sink.

She could have just put it in the washing machine.
