Not likely a Chinese spy hiding out in Japan.
I read that suspicion today, a Chinese spy.
To: drewh
I’m sure he was gone long before the interviews were published.

I wonder if he has a Gene Hackman-type guy helping him like Will Smith did in Enemy of the State.

He knows the game, and he knows the score. If he was smart, he should have been in his final destination under protection, before the first indicator leaked out. Then a carefully crafted false trail to send the forces on a wild goose chase for a while.
When the USG has got it in for you, it is relentless, and you don’t want to end up like Assange, cowering in an embassy as the USG slowly tightens the screws on that country until they turn you out.

“Although the treaty gives Beijing the right to veto an extradition on national security grounds, experts do not expect the Chinese government will want to confront Washington on Snowdens behalf.”
(Chuckling) Oh really! On what facts do they base this little bit of reporting? Seems more like a child’s wish than hard-headed analysis.

Im sure he was gone long before the interviews were published. Agreed. He's probably in Bora Bora, Ecuador, or perhaps Nebraska or someplace.

He and Julian Assange and, if he avoids execution, Bradley Manning will all end up in Ecuador waging cyberwar against the US Government.
