The hand-in-hand nature of this White House and some of the nation's biggest corporations is seen in yet another incident as Barack Obama's 2012 campaign data team is now moving from team Obama to team Google.
This week, Bloomberg reported that Obama's data mining team, used to great effect during his 2012 re-election campaign, has been hired nearly wholesale to work for Google.
This may not come as such a great surprise, however, as Google's Executive Chairman, Eric Schmidt, helped organize and run Obama's re-election e-team.
Schmidt "helped recruit talent, choose technology, and coach the campaign manager, Jim Messina, on the finer points of leading a large organization," Bloomberg reports.
Since he came onto the national political scene, Barack Obama has campaigned like a veritable David vs. Goliath, with evil corporations standing in for Goliath while Obama presents himself as David loading his slingshot to do battle. But the reality is not quite that cut and dried, and Google has been a big recipient of Obama's largesse.
The Washington Examiner's Tim Carney points out that the administration is filled with Googleites and that President Obama and Google have a long standing love affair. . .

From article: The Google chaiman has recently been on a tour of some of the most oppressive nations in the far east, with visits to North Korea and Myanmar. (Eric) Schmidt was asked in India this week why he went to the oppressive nations, especially North Korea.
Schmidt claimed that he went to the totalitarian hermit nation as an evangelist for a free and open Internet. But as he left the nation, cyber attacks spread throughout the world with the North Koreans the suspected hackers behind the attacks.
Why does big business kiss the a$$ of big government? Do they get favors? Special treatment? easygoing tax audits?
I can’t figure it out.
Maxine Waters said that Barack Obama was setting up a database on voters that the public could not possibly fathom.

Make a list, start with those three. Competitive advantage over those without connections, the list is endless. All of the above.
There was a list of 8-10 or so, companies who are “participating” with the NSA. Does anyone remember seeing CommieCast on that list?
The promise of corporatism is “managed change”. Lower profits but greater predictability of cash flows. Reduced competition and thus less dynamism, but also less risk.
They do it so that they can buy politicians so that tax laws can be structured so that competing small businesses cannot become big competing businesses.
You can take that to the bank.
Some big businesses did quite well under the Third Reich, just as businesses with PLA connections do amazingly well in China.
Can't stand the Google people.
They get all that and more especially with an administration as corrupt as this one. A lot of corporate executives and billionaires are high-profile “liberals” because it keeps the news media off their back and masks their insatiable greed.
Warren Buffett and Bill Gates two years ago got Interior Secretary Salazar to cut the restrictions on trillion-dollar coal field on public land in Wyoming. In exchange Buffett parrots Obama’s class warfare tripe and Gates pretends to be an eco-warrior.

how many congressmen have MONEY invested in CLOUD servers?
Google, Amazon, MS, are all scrambling to rescue their investments in server farm services.
ONLY A FOOL would put sensitive business docs (aka any of them) on cloud servers.
I still have a playground of networked computers at home that have not been on the ‘net in a decade. Software designed for the hardware concurrently available works great.
