Mullins: Low Turnout Just Shows Dems Had No Good Choices for Lt. Gov., Attorney General
Statement of RPV Chairman Pat Mullins:
"Amid very low turnout from their own party, Virginia Democrats have fielded a ticket that is weak - from top to bottom - and incapable of winning in November. The lack of enthusiasm from Virginia Democrats is understandable given that this is a ticket that is not focused on nor is credible on the primary concern of Virginians: creating jobs.
In Terry McAuliffe, Democrats have nominated a failed crony capitalist who has used his insider connections to profit from politics. McAuliffe's sketchy business ventures have routinely failed to create the jobs that were promised, have failed to pay taxes, and one was even labeled by Tim Kaine's administration as a "visa-for-sale scheme with potential national security implications."
Further down the ticket, Democrats have nominated two candidates who don't support Virginia's Right-to-Work law, who don't support offshore energy exploration, and who have spent the past six months pandering to their party's hard left-liberal base.
Electing any one of these folks would be an absolute disaster for the Commonwealth of Virginia, as this liberal dream team works to raise taxes, increase regulation, and make it harder to create jobs.
Democratic voters apparently realized that they had no good choices before them and stayed home in droves."
Pat Mullins can write a press release! Why isn’t this guy operating at a higher level of visibility in the GOP?
Tea party sent two establishment GOPers home yesterday
McAuliffe,,ick!! He is the scum that sucks pond scum...and he looks the creepy part too!
Hence his sobriquet: "The Punk" - courtesy of Rush Limbaugh.
There has to be a better description for people like McAuliffe, Rahm Emanuel, etc. than “crony capitalist”— “crony” is ok, but “capitalist?” The Soviet term “nomenklatura” is good, but there has to be one in English.
The only way Democrats have been able to turn out a large number of voters lately is by running a black presidential candidate supported by corrupt Chicago shakedown artists against mediocre white Republican presidential candidates, all the while proclaiming that anyone who doesn’t vote for the black candidate is a racist.
In the 2010 elections under normal circumstances, Republicans won a record number of seats in Congress. Which is why the Democrats are trying so hard now to avoid a similar election in 2014 under normal circumstances by attempting to flood the country with millions of new immigrant-citizens whom they expect to vote Democratic.
Dems are never good choices. There hasn’t been a patriot among them since Zell Miller retired.
I hope that’s the case. McAwful is going to be very well funded for the fall election.
McAuliffe has a tendency to get very shrill and defensive when challenged. I hope Cuccinelli exploits that when they debate.
With the team of Ken Cuccinelli, E. W. Jackson and Mark Obenshain running for the top three positions in Virginia, there are NO excuses for the Tea Partiers, evangelicals and other conservatives to sit at home this time. We have a chance to have the most conservative team in modern history leading Virginia.
Bingo!!!!
So true...
and if they win, maybe the GOPe RINO RNC will sit up and take notice...
or maybe not.
That was my reaction, too, when I read the election results. Democrats are obviously racist bigots.
I like Pat.
Exactly right. I’m going out this weekend door knocking in Chesterfield for Cuccinelli.
How do the Obamanites win elections? They clear the field. The WaPo is working on stories in conjunction with DOJ investigations into the republicans in VA. I expect to see a very public arrest and “frog march” or a circus of a “grand jury” indictment when people start paying attention after labor day.
Think macaca..
