In a Tuesday segment on “All In” marking 50 years since Wallace personally stopped two black students from registering at University of Alabama, Hayes introduced a clip of Wallace making his stand, saying “George Wallace was obviously the villain in this story.” A chyron overlaid on the clip misidentified Wallace as a Republican.

Democrats have re-written history about their opposition to the civil rights bill all the way back to their support for slavery and opposition to the civil war. And don’t get me started about Jackson’s spoils system.

I’d bet most MSNBC viewers who even know who George Wallace was(a small minority) think he was a Republican. I’d also bet Hayes thought so until he was corrected.
Half his audience (totaling 4 people) will never see or hear about his tweet so they will still believe it to be true.
Clearly the seriousness of the charge still stands.

Re-writing history and disinformation have ramped up to the obvious.
The FCC provides a method for registering complaints about a broadcaster’s failure to comply with standards of fairness in their broadcasts. This FCC complaint also provides a means for requesting the denial of a broadcaster’s request for the renewal of their FCC broadcasting license. A broadcaster cannot disseminate false propaganda if and when they no longer have an FCC license to broadcast the propaganda programming.
Including their greatly admired Grand Kleagle who was given the moniker ... the 'conscience' (sic) of the Senate ...
He might be old enough to be a member of the first generation to have received such indoctrination, but I doubt it.
Most morons these days know the melody to “Sweet Home Alabama.” They just don’t know the words or what they mean. Watergate don’t bother me either.
1. He's really that stupid. In which case he's too dumb to be on TV, but not on MSNBC.
2. He knew that labeling Wallace a republican would cause more harm and have more people see it than his lame ass apology. Mission accomplished, so to speak.
