It’s a pity you wasted your time with complaining. I apologized in advance because I had to post and run to an appointment, and not because I didn’t know how to post it properly. Sometimes expediency is more important than form. As I said to begin with, the properly formatted text was available at the link for anyone with any real interest in the petition methods.

And adding the pre before the copy/paste and the /pre after doesn’t take more than 5 seconds.
The tag simply wasn’t working for some reason, and I didn’t have time to meddle with it just then. There are often times when the spell checker doesn’t work properly either, so I don’t take time to correct the typos. Since sometime last year there are often times when the spellchecker obstinately highlights every word in the post. Sometimes getting a timely but misformatted message out is more important than getting the form correct.
I can’t seem to get the En-US to work.. spell-checker is always trying to correct to Brit spelling >.<
