According to MSNBC, former Alabama Gov. George Wallace, who famously coined the phrase “segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever,” is a Republican.

Mr. Wallace is greatly known for his notorious “Stand in the Schoolhouse Door,” when he physically blocked black students Vivian Malone and James Hood as they attempted to attend classes at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

He also ran for president four times — three times as a Democrat and once as an Independent.

For the libtard media, since when should facts get in the way of a good storyline?

Liberal facts:

Republicans opposed civil rights.

Republicans got us into the Vietnam war.

Republicans opposed lowering the voting age.

Wallace was a Republican.

Fred Phelps is a Republican.

Dan Quayle is stupid.

Ah, slapped down by the Washington Times!

Makes his mistake even more obvious and stupid when a prominent news sources points it out.

I think Wallace came back into the democrat meme because somebody brought up his name in relation to the protests at the NC state house.

Lincoln was really a Progressive Democrat, according to that excruciating Spielberg movie.

They know better, but calling him a Republican fits the template, so they did it. They’re nothing but dishonest propagandists.

Here’s a little trick to help them remember:

Republicans started the NAACP. Democrats started the KKK.

They make up for it by identifying Lincoln as a democrat...

George Wallace ran as an independent in 1968.

His choice was to return to the Democrat Party and run for presidential nomination in 1972.

He had MORE delegates than any candidate when he was shot by one of those lone assassin guys.

He had appeal to blue collar Democrats above the Mason-Dixon line. He could not have found any Republican votes north of the Mason-Dixon line.

Add to your list:

THe KKK was a republican institution.

Martin Luther Kink Jr. was a Democrat

I just love watching their red-faced heads explode when you tell them he was actually a Republican.

I was reading a Stephen King story where a man traveled to the past to save save JFK from assasination.

In his story, he stated that in this version of the past, “JFK was not able to push through the Civil Rights movement because the Republicans filibustered it”.

So typical of liberals to rewrite history. Here was how they voted:

Democratic Party: 46–21 (69–31%)
Republican Party: 27–6 (82–18%)

The Senate version, voted on by the House:[16]

Democratic Party: 153–91 (63–37%)
Republican Party: 136–35 (80–20%)
