Blue Dog Democrats are asking President Obama to quit stalling and approve the Keystone XL pipeline.

Members of the fiscally conservative coalition sent a letter to Obama on Wednesday saying “the time to approve the Keystone XL project has come.”

“Construction of the Keystone XL pipeline will provide a positive impact to a broad spectrum of the American economy,” wrote coalition co-chair Reps. John Barrow (D-Ga.) and Kurt Schraeder (D-Ore.). “An estimated 13,000 direct jobs will be created, with an additional 7,000 direct jobs needed to keep it operational. If the recent jobs report shows us anything, it’s that Americans are still in need of the highly-skilled, good-paying jobs that are created by a project of this magnitude.” …

No such thing as a “blue dog” anymore. They’re all socialists.

How many congressmen publically refer to themselves as “Blue Dog Democrats?” Are there more then the ones quoted in the article?

Will it help America? Will it create more jobs for Americans?

Then Obama’s not interested.

The headline is misleading. It should read:

Blue Dogs to Obama: ‘The time of 2014 elections is coming’

This isn’t a thoughtful, economic decision, but a calculating political one. We need those man-jobs our party has spent four generations destroying. We may lose our next election Barak.

To even BE a democrat displays you’re seditious intent..
Its not like 40 years ago when there were a few democrat patriots..
NOW there is NONE..

Democrats are either Socialists or Communists.. ALL OF THEM..
AND Communism IS socialism..

ALL democrats are security risks.. AND not a small amount of republicans..
Libertarians are all high on something and are proud of it.

Blue Dogs are only dems that come at a slightly higher price. They require a hold out for a hefty dose of pork before selling America out.

If you stand back and analyze this....the Chinese have to be manipulating this entire discussion. They’ve found the right naive environmentalists to push an agenda on one single pipeline....where there are a couple thousand piplelines criss-crossing America already. They’ve found the right naive Democrats to buy into this discussion. Then they found some hocus-pocus scientists to talk up one single point.

Meanwhile, the Chinese are quietly working up the deal with the Canadians to just forget about the US deal ever working....accepting a lesser money deal, and bring the oil out to the western coast of Canada. Because of the appearance of Obama not agreeing...the Canadians will eventually agree to a lesser deal.

They’ve read all the internal emails from both the company, and the Obama administration, and the Chinese will win this episode easily.

This might be the reason 0 doesn’t want the pipeline. Would it cut into his own profits from a family trust !

They don’t have buy anything or spend a nickel on these political idiots...just toss a story out there and convince people of some terrible environmental woes, and everyone is forced to read off some script that they keep for such events. There might be a fake foundation or two that pretends to be pro-environomental, but the Chinese likely fund most of the foundation’s events and topics.

The delay involved in this and the continued negotiation that the Chinese are doing with oil sands folks....it all fits pretty well.

“An estimated 13,000 direct jobs will be created, with an additional 7,000 direct jobs needed to keep it operational.

If you stop and think about it, that isn’t really a
lot of jobs but it’s the subsidiary work of feeding,
housing, and supplying that will really create economy.

And yet it takes the entire government of the nation
to let it happen. Something wrong with this picture.

John Batchelor had someone on last night...the railroads may provide more profitable transportation than the pipelines.....they can send the oil from Montana and North Dakota to where they can get the best price..Canada still needs the Keystone pipeline..Pipeline require long term contracts

Sad thing is, fewer railroad main lines due to government overregulation. Can’t transport oil over a bike path.

My bet is Buffett is holding this up. Something tells me those trains that are going to ship the oil belongs to Buffett.
