The mainstream media did not cover this at the time, nobody (at least no Democrat or "leading jurn-O-list") cared. After all the anointed one is from Chicago and cannot be expected to avoid the Chicago Way.
The IRS and other executive agencies are now part of the Obama/Democrat Party Campaign that will never end. Anyone who thinks that will change is blind.
Our government is headed the way of North Korea.
Walpin reminds us that this administration routinely bullies its IG’s and that’s a part of why nothing is investigated.
The other reason is that THERE ARE NO IG’s in many posts......they are intentionally left empty.
Sort of like Hillary and the mysterious death of Vince Foster...
Another little-known IG fact is that the IG’s in the Department of Justice are NOT PERMITTED to investigate US Attorneys, or the Attorney General or his Deputies or their offices....
....which is why the Fast and Furious investigation never found who was responsible....orders came from “upstairs,”......end of story.
If it wasn’t for Russell George the IRS would still be persecuting conservatives and there would be no scandal. George did as thorough an investigation possible under the legal powers of his post. He lacks the power to subpoena or put witnesses under oath. How are IRS personnel and management be expected to be truthful to the IG when they lie to Congress under oath.
George delivered the IRS to Congress and the news media on a silver platter.
