Watch the Good Guys and Leave the Terrorists Alone

Barack Obama alleges that snooping is in the nation's best interest because it is a powerful tool needed to keep Americans safe from dangerous terrorists. Yet, taking political correctness to a whole new level of lunacy, mosques, where terrorist types like to mingle with likeminded people, are currently off-limits to spying, snooping, and undercover stakeouts.

That's right -- cell phones are being tapped, keystrokes on computers are being logged and email intercepted and read; but mosques, which are home base for homegrown terrorists, are strictly off-limits to counterterrorism efforts.

Apparently this is how it works: Let's say law enforcement is looking for a serial murderer who's known to take a cooking class or two before butchering his victims. So to prevent non-murdering chefs from being offended, the thing to do would be to avoid looking in culinary schools for the killer. Right?

Then, while the Killer Chef hides in a cookery sharpening his meat cleavers, the FBI should spend most of its time surveilling florists, shoe stores, and yoga classes. To avoid insulting Jeffrey Dahmer types, the protocol must be to never ever search for suspicious-looking characters in places where lust killers with cannibalistic tendencies are likely to hang out.

Bad guys are this stupid. Look around, no one giving up their cellphone since they learned that the Feds are collecting this data.

When I climb on the Metro bus each morning....eighty percent of the riders are gazing at their cellphones. Go out for lunch....same number of folks checking email and Facebook. Go to a airport....same number. We are addicted. And I don’t see any dimwit robber suddenly getting smart. The vast majority of them are doped up on something and are on automatic most evenings as they cruise for a hit.

I'm down in the deep South and was speaking to an EMT the other day who has occasional duty at a firehouse. He said the firemen watch Fox all day and night while on standby and are absolute rapid about Obama and what he is doing to the country.

He said all they do is workout angry and foam about Obama.

Political correctness is a strange thing. We raised our children to be tolerant and respectful of others and now it has back fired. The other day my husband and I raised our eyebrows and rolled our eyes (at each other) when a muslim family walked past. Husband first wife walking behind wearing typical muslim garb.

Our 39 year old daughter severely berated us for the looks we gave each other. How can I convince her that if/when the muslims are in the majority (here) that she and I will wear a burka or have our heads chopped off for disobeying?

Teach her about how muslims treat minorities. Tell her about every case of muslims kidnapping little Christian/jewish/hindu/sikh girls that you see on Jihadwatch etc. Eventually she might wake up to what islam really is.

You can’t teach her that islam is evil, but with enough examples of its evil she may realize it herself.

She is totally PC on everything, blacks, Jews, Orientals, gays etc. but it is the muslim angle that disturbs me.

Thanks for the suggestion.

This cartoon can be done again, but with the Tsarnev brothers instead of Maj Hasan.

How many officers like Hasan has President Hussein advanced in the military and FBI?

The title says it all.

Reject the talk of privacy and safety trade-offs. We are losing our Freedom AND our safety.

This is what Dick Cheney doesn't understand - the top of the organization might be communist now... and if the NSA has gone in that direction - or large parts of it... we've got a problem ... a real bad one.
