The Senate immigration bill will be a major boost to the federal budget but does relatively little to clamp down on illegal immigration — cutting the future flow by only about 25 percent — according to the Congressional Budget Office analysis of the bill, released Tuesday afternoon.
Under the bill, which legalizes illegal immigrants and invites in foreign workers, immigration will total 10.4 million more people over the next decade and 16.2 million by 2033

Liberals consider Cuba a communist paradise -- oh, don't deny it, libbies, you know you do -- so, by definition, any ingrate fleeing this island jewel is just trying to escape from Cuba's "world-class" healthcare and "education" systems. And Cuba's world-class domestic government spying program, done in the name of "national security", which also rings a bell.
In other words, a Cuban escaping communist tyranny is an 'economic migrant'. A Mexican (or any non-Cuban foreigner) crossing the border illegally is instantly considered by liberals to be a victim of "oppression" who should not only be allowed to stay, but be granted a 'path to citizenship'.
(Playing the liberal word games further, a vast horde of people violating the sovereign border of a neighboring country is defined as "immigration", and the vast horde as "undocumented workers". So, when German tanks 'immigrated' into France during WWII, these must've been "undocumented German workers".)
If Mexico were Cuba, liberals would be filibustering Marco Rubio's phony baloney "reform" bill.
With Rubio's amnesty bill, liberals instead want to turn the U.S. into a Third World country by moving the Third World to the U.S. (New York Times headline: "America enters new era of Enlightenment".)
The practical effect of Rubio's amnesty bill is to turn the U.S. into the kind of Third World basket case that illegal aliens fled to begin with.
(Forget labeling me as a 'racist' for pointing out liberal hypocrisy. I'm Hispanic.)
Alien amnesty promoters claim their "new" phony "immigration" "reform" language spells the end to illegal immigration because of the following provisions:
-- It has the toughest border security provisions in history;
-- It provides plenty of new resources for better border enforcement, including an "increase in border patrol";
-- It makes it super-duper illegal for an employer to knowingly hire an illegal alien;
-- It has stiff new employer sanctions;
-- It legalizes only those illegal aliens who arrived here prior to a date set by the Act and no alien with a felony conviction or more than two misdemeanors will be legalized;
-- It further conditions legalization by requiring illegal aliens to pay a fine, pay all back taxes and admit guilt;
Whoops, hang on. That's the Simpson-Mazzoli Act. Easy to get the two amnesties mixed up.
Among the reasons Rubio's amnesty bill will not work any better than Simpson-Mazzoli (or, work swimmingly if you're a Democrat):
-- Amnesty comes first, handing Democrats and the cheap labor business lobby a victory at launch;
-- We tried this before and it didn't work; we gave amnesty to 3 million illegals and got another 11 million illegals;
-- The border enforcement provisions are a joke; the bill gives the Obama administration sole discretion on determining their effectiveness.
-- Jeb Bush is for it.
Rubio denies his amnesty bill amounts to amnesty. But he was caught telling Univision, "First comes the legalization." Rubio also says his bill's enforcement requirements are deficient. At the same time, he says his bill contains the strictest enforcement requirements in history. He also says he doesn't know if he'll vote for his bill. He told ABC News that "95, 96 percent of the bill is in perfect shape and ready to go."
Look, there are phony "tea party" senators like the Rubester who, for lack of a better term, just can't cut it. There shouldn't be a presumption that every "tea party" senator is a star performer. There are those like Rubio who just can't get it, can't do it, don't want to do it.
During the Cold War, liberals yearned to get the U.S. to lose the Cold War or, failing that, transform the U.S. into the image of their beloved Soviet Union. They got neither. Now their plan is to 'elevate' America into Third World hell-hole status (or "California"). Over 70% of Hispanics voted for Barack Obama last November. John "Amnesty" McCain got 31% in 2008. So, the amnesty pushers' campaign advice for the GOP is to increase by 60% (via amnesty) the size of the ethnic population which routinely votes 69%-73% against the GOP. And, as a bonus for Republicans, hand Obama a "sweeping" and "historic" legislative "victory" just as his poll numbers are in the crapper. The ultimate losers will be American workers.
A Rubio staffer got caught telling a reporter, "There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, just can't cut it. There shouldn't be a presumption that every American worker is a star performer. There are people who just can't get it, can't do it, don't want to do it."
Best ... reason ... ever to sink Rubio's Gang of Eight scam of a bill.

Find it strange when the excuse is being given that while the government knows whats going on in 300 million citizens lives but because the illegals are not citizens and in “the shadows” according to Florida’s Senator Rubio the US doesn’t know who they are or where they’re comming from so we must make them citizens..

In that May 3rd speech Obama gave before the Mexican Anthropological Museum in which he blamed America for the violence in Mexico I believe he went even futhur. There’s a inference but never referenced by name to the Gasden purchase and border settlements US made with Mexico where Obama hinted he seems to side with the Mexican claims. Would those in attendence share that view is a question that should be asked, because I believe they would,.he does.

The Mexicans have been getting most favorable treatment above the rest of our neighbors both north and south. They’re permitted to cross our borders and enter illegally and are allowed access to rights of citizenship (with the exception of voting which if the democrat party regains control over the House will happen) other nationals entering this country don’t get.. Worse yet the Obama government has been working hand in glove with Mexican movements such as LaRaza supporting the Mexican claims which are also supporting “Amnesty”.
Also by allowing Mexicans to do this any quota ration for immigration from other south and central American countrys are taken up by Mexicans while that country is laying claim to a large chunk of our sovereign territory is a recipe for later serious problems which are happening now.
ARE MEXICAN ILLEGALS SQUATTERS PERPETUATING THE MEXICAN CLAIMS ?
We are already seeing the result of this in certain areas claimed by the Mexicans. Their national flag (standard) gets displayed over ours. Where there is a controlling number of Mexican nationals (illegals). It’s displayed over certain institutions particularly schools accompanied by riots and disturbances. Blacks are threatend by Mexicans in certain sections of citys in those areas. We’re courting trouble by not placing a value on our sovereignty and our citizenship.
MOST COINS OF THE REALM HAVE TWO FACES WHAT ABOUT HOW ARE AMERICAN CITIZENS LIVING IN MEXICO BEING TREATED ?
Worse yet if a US citizen goes into Mexico never mind illegaly but legally. They’ll get 2nd class treatment. Land ownership in title is prohibited period. And there are a slew of regulations they must comply with. Which doesn’t apply to a citizen of Mexico.
By not insisting on reciprocity particularly on those who have entered this country illegally we’re offering no incentive for assimilation and we’re not easing the burden for our fellow citizens who for what ever reason decided to live in Mexico.
